Question about Mitsubishi DD-6040 DVD Player
This model can not record. So you need to use a finalized disc - the listed spec is DVD-V (Region 1 or All). It also can't read DVD-ROM or DVD-RAM (trying this format can damage the unit).
If you have a DVD recorded on another machine and it isn't readable, check if the disc was finalized. Sometimes the brand of disc matters for playback of DVD-R or DVD+R discs. I've never found a rhyme or reason for some of these issues with one disc versus another.
