Sorry to say sounds like your hard disk. Try removing the power then open the unit and GENTLE tap the hdd then put your power cable back in it the unit starts the get all your data off it do not turn if off until you do the buy a ne HDD bigger and reinstall you OS. If you have restore disks use them.
