Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
Windows 7 doesn't seem to have the drivers for your video card.Go to Start-Control Panel-Device Manager.Look at the Display Adapter category and see if there is a red x.Click on the little triangle to expand the category and see if it lists any type of device there. If so,double click that and see what it's saying about drivers. If the option is available, tell Windows to update the driver automatically and allow it to access the internet to look.
Now,a couple questions. Are you using the on-board video? If not, what brand and model of video board did you add?
Last, look on the case for a sticker called a Service Tag,and lacking that,Post back with your full Model # & Serial # so I can try and find out what video chipset was installed by Dell.
If the auto-check for drivers works, that should fix it.If not,let me know about the other questions.
And if this helps, would you rate my post?
Let me know.
