Question about Washing Machines
First lets be clear what letters you are seeing. capital letters I or L. I E is a water inlet error and LE is a locked motor error. since your motor is obviously not locked up it is your hall sensor that is on the motor. if you remove the rear panel you will see your direct drive motor on the tub. there is a 5 pin connector on it that is a hall sensor (4 wires) (this senses rotation speed and direction) White to gray is 10-15 Vdc, check the ohms with a multimeter white to red or blue should show 10Kohms. red and blue send a pulsating 10vdc signal back to the control during operation. check wires for wear and check for loose connection. you may find it necessary to contact LG for parts.
