From the symptoms you describe, it seems the high voltage flyback autotransformer has failed along with the horizontal amplifier (they are slaved to each other). The sound comes from the flyback unit. I guess it must be a high pitched squeal, and click noises.

Also check for cold solders.
You can inspect the PCB's for fractures, and then repair them. It may also be poor soldering that has failed. I would be checking for these things first.

If is better to change all the CRT's at the same time if one is replaced. Same with the IC's. Look for bad resistors, or bust capacitors, especially around the heat sinks. Once again, if you are changing one, might as well change all 4 (I think its 4-6) resistors. It will serve you well in the long run.

Hope that helps!

If the serial no of the set is earlier than 3KPW358179 you need to replace all 3 CRT's.

Also check RZ144 and RZ145 which I think may be 3R9ohms.

Let me know if you have any further questions, thanks

First check for solder bridges on your work even the best solderers can bridge solder (even myself). if this is a seperate board. then unplug the power lead to the convergance board. if it is not a seperate board and is part of the main board then unplug just the convergance yolks turn the set on and set the convegance back to factory reset in the menu. unplug the set and return the wires back. then turn on the set you should be able to do a flash focus to return the convergance. if the set doesn't turn on after retuning the wires then check for open pico fuses or bad resistors in the convergance circuit.

The TV was working en shut him self off. Wont start now .

This may be caused by convergence IC's being defective and some resistors around them not being the proper values.

I have repaired another Hitachi model Rear Projection TV that would start up and click click click and flashing red light, then replaced the convergence IC's STK392 series and a few burned up resistors and good as new :)

You will have to be handy with a soldering iron to complete this task, and there is a kit you can buy also http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/60sbx78b/ it comes with everything you need and even teach you how to solder if your not already good at it.

Hope that helps

TV wont turn on but it does make the clicking noise as it is trying to do so, the power light flashes three times and extinguishes

The three blinks is an error code indicating that the convergence has failed. You can get the PT47WX49 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com whih has the 2 Convergence ICs and The 6 low ohm resistors plus the CD with repair instructions.

My samsung sp42w5hfx the picture is like its in 3d can i fix it and how

This is a convergence problem and is quite involved to fix. I suggest you get a tech/ They have the right tools to generate a pattern to correct the problem as well as warranty on the replaced boards required to fix this problem. It's not a DIY for amateur

Mitsubishi wt-46809 not turning on

Your convergence amp ICs have most likely failed and that will shut the TV down. You need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-570 you can get replacement ICs with free instalation instructions at the following link.

Convergence Problem...now won't turn on!

You most likely shorted one if not both new IC's and that will cause the set not to start. I would say that replacing the board is probably the best bet but, be careful of plug placement.

Compare IC connections with meter = check solder joints to
see if some are touching one another. Tell me exactly what
brand & part number was installed...........T.
PS. The red, green, blue plugs may be mixed up because the green should stay and red & blue move !
