Hi

1. You’ll need to follow this procedure to assemble your unit back together.
2. Make sure the foot pedal is in the proper position.
3. The SmartMix should be properly loaded into the main housing. This is done by first turning the SmartMix knob to the "water only" setting, placing the SmartMix piston in place, and then turning the SmartMix knob to the "heavy traffic" setting.
4. Make sure the gasket around the nozzle is in place by guiding it into the slot with your finger or screwdriver.
5. Make sure the cover is reassembled so that it is directly above the base before lowering it into position.
6. Turn the diverter valve to "tools" setting. Lift diverter door lightly and check to ensure that the upholstery duct is aligned to the oval hole in the housing. Press diverter door back down and return valve to "floor" setting. Some models require that the front housing be snapped back onto the base. Do this by pushing down on the front of the housing.
7. Clean any debris from the flow indicator. Insert with post up, then lightly tighten flow indicator cap.
8. Make sure the rope gasket for the window is in place on the housing. Also, check to see that the rubber gasket is in place at the top of the window.
9. Replace the nozzle window by first pressing the front onto the screw area, and then snap the top of the nozzle in place by pressing on the oval gasket seal. You will hear two "clicks" as the tabs drop into the housing slots (NOTE: on older models, insert the two rear tabs into the housing slots first, then lift upward on the front of the window to "bow" it into position. Attach both window nozzle screws.
10. Turn the motor shaft to ensure that the brush and pump are both operating properly.
11. Reinstall belt access door and tanks. Retest unit.
Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Anyone know why my Bissell Proheat 2X Turbo Model 9300's brushes won't turn anymore

If the Brushes don't rotate, & you have two brushes; 1). Turn unit on side. ( Make sure unit is up-pluged) 2). Rotate the front brush roller, if the second roller moves at same time, 3). Locate a small ribbed belt that goes from the further back roller, to a small ribbed pully. (Gates belt #177-3m5) ( on side under a clear cover) The belt may not be broken, but may have carpet fuzz / lint covering the belt ribs, causing the belt to slip. If that belt is OK and you find that the small pully doesn't turn the belt/rollers, the problem is with a small internal direct drive motor, that drives the brush rollers. At this point return the unit, as Bissell has a design defect & is using cheap parts.

No cleaning fluid or water comming out of cleaner

not sure of your model but on most of the bissell's ( except there new style) the belt drives the pump and the brush on the bottom. no pump action then no spray action. you probably need a new belt.

Brush belt is very weak.

Brush Belt broken or disconnected. Very weak belt. Colossal engineering mistake by Bissell. Belt itself and its components are under way to much stress for the size they developed to perform their task. For Quality Control to let such an obvious blunder pass can only mean that it was intentional for reasons, Im sure, beneficial to Bissell and costly for the consumer. No telling how many people buy another entire machine when this rubberband of a belt breaks like it was intended. Bissell is not a consideration of myself or anyone I can enlighten.

I have a bissel carpet cleaner and the brush does not rotate when machine is on.

The brush roll is driven by a cogged belt, the brush roll will also have these cogs. If they look all right, then check the end of the pump, it has a dual pulley on it, one for the flat pump belt, and the other for a cogged belt. If the cogs are wore away or that part of the pulley broke off, then you will have to replace the pump. That pulley only comes with a pump.
