Question about Dell Studio 1737 Laptop
It could be a few things, and some of them, of course, tricky. The power button may be disabled due to windows loading part way, and hanging up. Since the keyboard lights up, I'm inclined to think that the power button in ok, and I'm leaning toword a software/registry/windows problem. Does the fan come on when you fire it up, and does the unit initialize at all, i.e., do the lights on the keyboard come on at that point? If so, you may have a bad hard drive, or software issue. If you take your laptop with you, there is a chance that there is a loose connection within, cracked solder joint, things of that nature. I would take it into a computer repair shop, and see what they think. I'm inclined to say that reloading windows might work, but not sure, and that's a drastic move, so it's kind of a last resort.
Wish I could be of help more, but this problem will require a degree of expertise I cannot give. Hope this helps, however.
