Question about Bernina Bernette 75
If you don't have a manual to check this, contact Ron at
a1sewingmachine.com. The settings on your dials should be
all set on 4. This number should be highlighted or marked different from the other ones. Look for the little notch (or arrow) on the machine and line that up with the 4. Make sure the threads are under the tension discs which are under the dials. When threading pretend you're flossing and pull the thread back and forth so you can feel the slight tension on the thread. Make sure your presser foot is up when you thread the machine. Your stitch length should be about 3 and the stitch width 5 and the differential on 1. These are basic settings for all sergers and you might have to play with them to get a good stitch. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.
