You would wire it like two speakers positve to positve and minus to minus that will work best without getting in to deep that will keep your restince equil on both sides like right and left.

I have 2 duel 12' 2ohm sub's and a blackmore bac m-50 2000 watt 4ohm amp and was wondering how to wire. Thanks!

boz word of caution is to be heeded. with 2x2 ohms per speaker, you can only use one, with the voice coils ran in series to increase the resistance to 4 ohm . take a single driver, and use the series wiring on with both of the 2 ohm voice coils.

wire positive from the amp into positive of one voice coil, then the negative of that voice coil to the positive of the second voice coil 9bridging with 6 gauge or so, as was also mentioned by a previous user), then lead the negative of the second voice coil back to the amp's negative terminal.

How do i wire alpine swr1243d subwoofer

There are a couple different ways you can wire up this speaker as it is a DVC speaker. Duel Voice coil, it has two + post and two - post. A dual 4-ohm voice coil subwoofer with its coils wired in parallel presents a 2-ohm load to your amplifier. Since an amplifier produces more wattage at a lower impedance, the parallel connection ensures you'll get the most output from your amp.
Series wiring lets you configure multiple woofers to one amplifier at an acceptable impedance. Wire both coils in series for an 8-ohm impedance, and then wire two 8-ohm subs together in parallel for 4-ohm total impedance.
You can wire each voice coil to a separate channel of your amplifier, if you prefer not to bridge your amp. Independent wiring is a nice option if you're wiring two DVC subs to a 4-channel amplifier - one voice coil per channel
Depending on what you are hooking it up to i.e. a mono amp or a bridged four channel amp. I can tell you post to wire exactly if I know how you want to hook it up and what ur hooking it up to.

What's the best way to hook up my jl audio 13" w 7 sub to my jl audio 1000/1 amp

the best way? hmm. i would start off with some wire. Keep in mind that you will need to separate the positive (usually red or has a stripe or marking on it) from the negative (Black usually is the common color for this wire) and hook the up according to your amps positive and negative hook ups / terminals following your sub-woofers terminals. then depending on your sub woofers Voice coils (Duel or single voice coils) yours are duel or quad coils but i\'m sure they are duel (2 of each positive and negative equaling a total of 4 posts on each sub-woofer). figure out your amps ohm load handling and does your amp run hot (1,2 or 4 ohm stable some are even less like 0.5 or lower) i would run at a 1 or 2 ohm load as that is usually standard on 1 channel amps. make sure to check your wiring and if your not sure about ohm loads just Google wiring for sub-woofer ohm loads such as 0.5 ohm, 1 ohm, 2 ohm or 4 ohm loads. also make sure your box is not sealed do to the fact they are siht and cant produce sound like a vented / ported enclosure keep the size as big as you can fit in your car or truck the bigger the better. i had one 8\'\' sony sub pounding like a 15\'\' sub real loud . Also MDF particle board is garbage it causes port noise and absorbs water

I got these subs given to me brand new from my dad and was not sure on how to wire the duel voice coils. Could you please tell me the different ways to wire the coils for the different ohms. Thanks, Gerald

Ok..If each coil is say 4 ohms and you wire them in parallel you will obtain 2 ohms...in series you will obtain 8 ohms...remember..series resistors add together and parallel resistors(of the same value) divide...so if you were to wire all 4 voice coils in parallel, then you would obtain 1 ohm...or, if you were to series all 4 voice coils then you would obtain 16 ohms...a lot of amps are not stable down to two ohms..the way we did it old school was to parallel each speakers voice coils to obtain 2 ohms..and then we would series the 2 speakers in the box to obtain the 4 ohm load needed by the amp

I need to know how to bridge a a 4 ohm 15 inch sub down to1or2ohm

Hello solo7908,

With a single 4ohm DVC sub there are only two possible wiring solutions, parallel the voice coils for a final 2ohm load or series the voice coils for an 8ohm load. In your case, you want to wire them in parallel, both positives and both negatives connected to the amp terminals.

Here are the diagrams: (-) to (-) and then to the amp - (+) to (+) and then to the amp. Impedance = 2ohms.

Hope this helps.

Wiring a sub with duel voice coil

In short yes. And is very common even has its own term called bridged. Taking two channels and making them one. I would hope that you are running a cap. that's going to put out a lot of power and stress on your battery

2x12 in sub each duel voice coil can iether wire to 1 or 4 ohms. im guessing you have everything wired up in series (1 ohm) and aer probably burning out the amp.
