Question about Nintendo DS Console
Hi, this is a very common problem, now the good news is the actual ds itself is fully working but the problem you are having is with a little thin ribbon that connects with the top screen and the circuit board in the bottom half of the ds, this is a common problem with anything that flips open such as phones, laptops etc etc.
as its a very common problem this means that parts are cheap to buy and cheap to get fitted so your best option would be to take it to your nearest computer repair shop or mobile phone shop as most mobile phone shops repair these as well as phones, dont go to a big branded phone shop go to a small phone shop that is run by a private owner instead of one of the bigger chain stores as these will be a lot cheaper and should be able to do the repair whilst you wait.
its not worth trying to do yourself as you will end up doing more damage to it as you need special tools to remove the ribbon.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok.
you could save money by buying the part yourself you could try the well known auction site or just google ds spares and look for the data ribbon for the top screen then take this with you when you go to the phone shop
