SOURCE: how do I change the electric wire in a franklin

You have 4 wires coming out of the fuse box , one white , one bare, one black, one red, right? The fuse is a double pole, 220 volt, ?30?amp, guessing, and you are now wiring up to a 110 volt, motor which needs 20 amps, so, remove one wire from the breaker, red or black, shut it off first, pull the wire off, tape it and mark it what it was. leave the red wire on there, or the black, it doesn't matter, Now you have one hot, one ground, one neutral, hook them up to the pump, the box on the pump has screws, one silver, one brass, the brass is always hot, the colored wires are always hot, The silver screw is neutral, the white is neutral, always, and the ground wire goes to the ground screw, maybe outside of the box. You should be all set, tape off the old colored wire you didn't use and mark it . You might need it someday. Hope this helps.

I have a franklin electric 4

I have plenty of children and grandchildren, none with my name..... Cash is better but that is not what I'm doing this for.

Sounds like your system is "water-logged", shut off the pump, drain the bladder tank and check air pressure in the bladder. Set it to about two psi below the normal cut on point of the pressure switch. If that doesn't solve it, post again.

I am looking for an agent for a Franklin submersible sump pump for a borehole in Centurion.

If you visit their water site along the top you will see 'service' and 'sales'. Depending on what you need select one and follow the screen prompts for a local agent. Their site can be found at:

Looking for model #2243019204 pond pump motor 2hp 3450 rpm 230 v ph1

This model is a well pump not a pond pump. http://franklin-electric.com/model-search.aspx Did you enter this information in a Google search? locator.aspx">http://franklin-electric.com/dealer-locator.aspx. I also see this pump is available @ Lowes if you live in the USA (please don't say).

I trust this response answers your question.

I just drilled a new well and I am considering putting a Franklin variable speed Controller on the submersible pump. My question is what effect does a variable speed controller have on the life of a pump...

It all depends if the pump motor is designed to use this type of controller. If it is then ok.
I have see no advantage to these system and some disadvantages. Money, servicing and just in general more stuff to go wrong.
You make the call on this but make sure the pump motor is right for the controller.

I just purchaced a 4hp franklin spa pump. It is for a nuwave 2000 spa. The plug from the control panel has 4 wires, black, red, white and green ground. Where do the red, black and white wires attach on...

WHITE wire is your neutral so will go as blue wire.
BLACK and RED wires are your high and low speed for your pump.
I would plug red and black into either, plug in and turn spa on - if high speed comes on first then turn spa off and swap red and black wires round. the side of your pump or under top of control unit will give you a diagram of where high and low speed goes.

We got struck by lightening a week ago. Three days ago we lost our water. We have power to the pressure tank switch. We have replaced the control box. All our fuses look good. We are not sure how to check...

You should get an electrician. We had a wire that was underground and the lightening severed it and had to replace all the underground wire to our house. Hope you have good luck. with this.

How do you wire a 2 wire Franklin 1/2 HP 10 GPM

you can just install a regular plug to the end of the wires and plug it in,, but you will need to add a ground wire,, if there is only 2 wires there should be 3 so look for a screw with a spiral clasp on it for the ground,,
