It depends on what problem you are referring to.

If you are experiencing slow drain issues, an error code of "F02", "F21", or if you get a consistent "SUD" lock problem, this is usually consistent with either a clogged drain pump, or a drain pump that has failed.

The following link explains how to check the drain pump and clean (if necessary):

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574284-checking_the_drain_pump_on_a_front_loade

If you've already attempted to clean the drain pump and the problem still persists, you may have to replace the drain pump. It does not take much to damage the pump impeller or motor. Since any error codes are generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump is damaged and can't pump at the required volume, the error code will continue to appear until the pump is replaced. If the pump requires replacement, the following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574350-replacing_the_drain_pump_in_a_front_load

These are very simple repairs that you can perform yourself without the assistance of a repairman.

If the wash tub is full of water, you may want to use a wet/dry shop vac to pull a vacuum on the drain line and drain the wash tub. This will minimize any potential mess you may have to clean up.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

NOTE: The error codes are not listed in the owner's manual. For an explanation of all the error codes, each one of these washers comes with a technical data sheet inside.

To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front feet of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to troubleshoot this error code.

Read through the information provided and if you have questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

sounds like you have covered all the bases --- the next thing that I would try is to simply unplug the unit from the wall and let is sit for a minute or two and then plug back in. if this does not solve your F21 code, then I would say that the problem is at the sensor or main circuit board.

Washer will will not go to the spin cycle to drain the water?

the most commom problem is a foreign object blocking the drain pump.in order to remove the water you need to use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose once the water has been removed.you have to remove the two hoses conected to the drain pump and check for any obstructions.this should solve your problem.if there is no obstruction then the drain pump may be bad.besure to check the wiring.good luck with your washer let me know how things work out for you.

The washer wont evacuate the water during the rinse/spin cycle

You do not say if it will drain the water at all!

If it will drain it in the end, then it is a computer board you need to replace.

If it does drain in any mode, then FIRST I would check your DRAIN PUMP and see if something in it like a Pin, Nail, Coin or some thing has got into it some how. This is common when pockets are not emptied before washing. If you find something in the pump, then problem solved. If you do not then unhook the power to the DRAIN PUMP and be sure it is getting power. If its getting power and you can not get the Pump to spin, then it needs replacing.

If the pump spins, but does not go on at the point that it is needed, then it is more than likely the computer board.

Hope this helps...

Kindly,

Jim

Recently on my Whirlpool Duet Modal Number GHW9100LW1. During the rinse cycle I am getting a F02 code. Of course i looked it up and it said a drain problem. This does not happen all of time and sometimes...

Check your drain pump and/or drain lines for ANY obstructions. Anything that slows down the drain process of the pump to where it exceeds 8 minutes will generate the error code. I have found items as small as a toothpick stuck in the pump impeller. If you've never checked the pump before, the following link will give you some guidance:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385845-checking_drain_pump_in_whirlpool_duet

It doesn't take much to damage these small pumps. Usually the impeller or pump motor becomes damaged and no longer pumps at the required volume. Another thing to check is to make sure you have a good electric connection at the pump. The connector plugs can become loose sometimes due to vibration. If all these preliminary steps do not solve your problem, it is recommended that you replace the drain pump. Replacements can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

If you need guidance on how to replace the pump (if required) follow the steps provided in this next link:

If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Our Kenmore Elite HE3 washer will not finish a cycle, flashing an error code of F02. Can you tell me what this is in reference to?

"F02" is a Long Drain error code. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

In general, this usually means the drain pump or drain hoses are clogged and need to be cleaned. I have included instructions on how to do this as well.

It does not take much to damage these small pumps. Items begin caught in the pump impeller for extended periods of time can result in a pump that no longer runs, or one that no longer pumps at the correct volume. If cleaning does not solve your problem, the manufacturer recommends replacing the drain pump. Hopefully, a simple cleaning will solve this for you. Let me know if you have any questions, or require addtional assistance.

WTW6600SW2 Won't Drain

We had the same problem. In our case a penny got down under the tub and into the pump. It caused a crack in the pump and it could not get the suction it needed to drain. A new pump solved the problem. Parts and labor to the tune of $195.

Whirlpool duet code 02 problem

The following link explains the "F02" error:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

Checking and replacing the drain tube, in your case, may not be enough. I would strongly recommend checking and cleaning the drain pump. If a thorough cleaning of the drain pump and verification that all the drain lines still does not solve your problem, you probably need to replace the drain pump. Searspartsdirect.com carries a replacement pump for about $70. Just type in your model number and locate item number 10 under the "Pump and Motor Parts" heading. If you do need to replace the pump, use this next link for step-by-step instructions:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r401845-replacing_drain_pump_whirlpool_duet

Some of the steps are repetitive, but I hope its helpful to you. Let me know if you require further assistance. Hopefully, you can solve your problem without the need of replacing anything.
