The belt needs replacing. Assuming it's a belt drive model! When you take off the belt, please make a note of how it fits. Measure the diameter of the belt (mm) and enter it into google as: "turntable belt ??MM". You should find it. You don't have to be precise on the diameter measurements.

The plate on my numark tt USB is wobbiling

I find it hard to believe some of these answers. If the platter is wobbling, if you remove the platter, you'll find the spindle the platter rotates on. That will probably be loose. At the bottom of the spindle bearing, you will find a nut. Tighten that, and you should be in business. If you have further questions please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there.

How to fix a wobbly turntable stanton T.50

Check if the platter is oke and aint stock, and otherwise is you spindle bearing defect.... A platter ain't goes from flat to wobble all of a sudden. And try to get the stuf second hand, or better, buy a better unit, not from stanton, but a refurbished 1200mk from technics is ok, if you sprin records. If you only listen, take a loke at the rega and pro-ject sites.....

Try plugging it into a different power point. The problem is with the power supply fluctuating. You can eliminate that with a UPS, here is a link to wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply

My Whirlpool microwave model MH9181XMT started making a loud noise while running (it sounds like a wobbly fan) It continues to heat and run perfectly but with the noise. Any ideas?

Assuming you already ruled out the exhaust fan there are 2 stirrer motors, one for the turntable and one for the stirrer blades in the top. One of those could be bad. eric

Califone 1420 k "Wobbling sound"

If you take the platter off you may find a rubber "idler wheel" that rides on the inside rim of the platter. It may be worn or glazed over and hardened. Might try cleaning with denatured alcohol. If that doesnt work you may need a new idler wheel. West Tech Services is a place that comes to mind that may carry what you need.

My very old NAD 5025 got a hum noise problem

Check the motor shaft. It could be bent making the pully wobble which makes the whole turntable vibrate which gets passed through the needle. I just found this out on mine. Easy way to test is to hold the platter while the needle is resting on the record. The speakers will hum/wobble at a low frequency. Lift the needle off the record and the sound stops? It's the motor...

Loose / wobbly platter?

This is a common problem. If you have another 1200 turntable, switch out the platters and see if that fixes the problem. Usually, the problem does not carry over.

There is nothing to screw or tighten. You can install a new SPINDLE - and it should fix it. But might not be necessary if you just swap your platters out.

Good luck!

Platter or motor or what?

Been seeing a lot of problems like this on the newer decks. if the lights instead of moving smoothly are moving a bit, then stopping a little, then moving a bit more. or just wobbling a little bit usually has something to do with the motors... I have also just had to have mine replaced to was having the same problem.... expensive
