Soon after leaving the dock the sonar goes off and sometimes reads disconnected. Checked all the wires but still no luck. Seems to go off as we speed up. Any ideas? Regards Roger

My garmin suddenly was doing the same thing. After 5 days of fristration my wife disconnected everything at the unit, as did I many times with no luck, and now it is suddenly working.

We had much rain, it is possible water is in the contacts, but just a thought with that one. My guess is just vibration, and the contacts were loose. Also, make sure your transducer is clean from algae and junk, this will impeded image transmission also.

2007 Jeep compass C101F code. Only threw the code after I replaced the wheel bearing, cv shaft and wheel speed sensor. What now?

This is possibly an issue with the Right Front wheel speed sensor. The ECU is reading a different speed on that wheel compared to the Left side. Check your wiring for the sensor you've fitted. Make sure it is fitted correctly and tightly fastened down. Check both sides.
It will be worth getting the ABS module checked as well. The sometimes throws up error codes if wheel speed sensors are disconnected or replaced.

Have you check the wiring from the throttle pot to the controller ?

One last thing , the speed pot,,short the two white wires ? and see if there is a improvement as it very hard to sometimes to find a faulty pot purely by taking resistance readings,..

My lowrance elite 4 HDI goes black when i get on plane so my backtrack feature doesnt work

The speed of your boats travel only directly affects your sonars ability to read the water depth.
your backtrack feature is GPS based. These is not affected by your boat being on plane.

Your screen being black sounds like your sonar is losing bottom contact due to air bubbles passing under the transducer. This is a common occurrence with most boats.

Add some details regarding what your seeing and we can help you get a better handle on your difficulty.

Sonar intermittent very good through hull transducer , sonar works sometimes then will not work rest of day ,

Check the mounting location, check the cord connections, make sure the ducer is actually clicking when it is not working, otherwise either the unit or the ducer is going bad

I have a 2002 dodge stratus rt i just changed out the altanator for a new one and now the car turns over but will die as soon as you take your foot off the throtle

Disconnect the battery for about fifteen minutes. Your pcm needs to clear out so it can get fresh readings off the sensors. Sometimes the idle speed control sensor gets a little squirrelly when you play with the electrical systems on dodges. Good luck.

I have a century wire weed welder 225 amp. As soon as I flip the power switch the wire feed motor goes on full speed and is not adjustable. This happens with the trigger switch disconnected. I checked...

it will be a problem relay that turns the feed motor on when the trigger is pressed
that relay is either permanently energized from the board or has failed and the points are stuck together

1988 ford ranger 4 speed v6 problems keeping it running.

Fuel filter? There's also a filter on the suction intake inside the gas tank, it can get plugged up. I'd definitely try the filter if you haven't. Good luck. Have you checked the fuel psi coming from the tank? If it's fuel injection, it should be pretty high, 55 - 60 psi. Let me know if I can help.
