Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players

1 Answer

When I plug in the AC adapter, I do not have a good contact. The red light on the back of the battery blinks on and off when I move the connector to the DVD player. (GPX PDL805).

The AC outlet has power. The problem seems to be at the connection to the DVD player.

How soon can I expect a reply?

I have tried several outlets. It's not a power problem. It is either the connector on the AC adaptor or it is the connection to the DVD player.

I have taken the unit back to the store and they replaced it.

Check the plug and the ac outlet.. if it broke and has the problem, it is advisable to change or replace it.

Thank you

Fisher price dvd player - Need instruction manual

Check the Fisher Price website for an instruction manual. My daughter has one and when you plug it in and the red light is blinking that means the battery is charging. It has a battery pack inside (not removeable) that needs to be charged for 8 hours before the first use, but I'm guessing yours is used, so just let it charge until the light goes off.

Battery pack doesn't charge

the battery voltage is perfect as what you have mentioned.its the problem of the connectors to which the battery is connected that connectors r either loose or dirty thats why the battery is not getting detected.the connectors needs to be checked and made proper.

Dvd player recharger charge status lights blink

The blinking went away as I had charged it for a very long time. However, it was noted that it would not work on the DVD. The battery needs to be replaced. That solved my problem. I still have to look for a new battery for this device: US Logic 680p DVD player with recharging capabilities due to the portability option. It works fine if plugged in, but the battery just needs to be replaced if I want to use it independent of the plug. Thanks for asking how I resolved the issue.

How do I charge battery

Simply hook the battery up to the player, plug in the adapter (house AC outlet, car adapter will not recharge batter), and turn the unit off.

The charging light should come on and when it goes out it's fully charged.

Battery back needs to be connected to the DVD player when charging. connect the batter pack to player. Run the DC/out from the battery pack to the DC/in in the player. plug the charger into the wall.

if that does not work, you have a bad battery

Battery Charger for Trutech Portabel DVD player

Hi,

As have been posted in a post of similar concern...

You can try calling Target Customer Service 1.800.440.0680 and inquire cost & availability of the charger for the TruTech PVS12701.

Additionally, you may want to contact the manufacturer direct.
ALCO Electronics, Inc.
8392 Six Forks Rd., Suite 104, Raleigh, NC 27615,
(800) 252-6123)
Should you need direct Customer Support, please try here.

Alternately, you can just look for an AC adapter/charger that has the following specs:
Input Voltage - your country's standard AC mains;
Output Voltage - 12VDC
Output Current - at least 1.5 Amp (the higher the better)
Connector - one that will fit and match the polarity of the TruTech PVS12701. (am guessing crown type center positive, pls confirm with the store. It may also help to bring along the unit when doing the purchase over the counter).

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

My DVD player does not charge!

I think you mean the "charge/power" light doesn't come on? One thing I've noticed on the PD-758LP I have, is that the power connector on the back of the player is none too good, my DVD player quits if the cable isn't set just...right... Try moving the power cable around on the back and see if it lights-up briefly. I suspect problems with that connector first.
