Your defrost circuit has failed. Typical problem is the heating element fails. It is mounted to your coil. Use a meter to check if the heating element is open, if they are, replacing the heating element should solve your problem.

FROST BUILDUP, FAN KEEPS RUNNING,FREZZER GETS TO 20 DEG

The frost build up sounds like a problem with the defrost system. Usually a burned out defrost heater which would normally melt the frost build up away. If heater is burned out, you will need to manually defrost the coils after heater replacement. A hair dryer works well for this..

Water keeps pooling up on the bottom of my fridge and freezing

If the water is showing on the freezer side, more than likely you have a clogged drain. This occurs when the machine goes into defrost and the melted ice somehow is prevented from draining and therefor refreezing and blocking the drain for the next defrost cycle. The best way to resolve this is to unplug the machine for atleast 24-48 hours to let all ice melt. If thats not an option that you want to use the actual repair method would be to 1) unplug the machine 2) empty everything out of the freezer so you'll have room to work 3) take all the shelving and baskets out 4) locate the screws on the rear wall inside the freezer and remove them 5) take the back panel off exposing the evaporator coils ( the aluminum ) 6) directly below the coils is a trough of sorts and the drain is usually in the middle and runs out the bottom, remove the ice by carefully chipping it out or by using a hair dryer or hot water. 7) once all the ice is gone, the drain is visible and water can flow smnoothly down the drain dry the area and reassemble.

My son left fridge door open, from 1-2 hours. it doesn't seem to be cooling now. Is there a problem or does it take a while for condensor to come back on?

What has happened is that the evaporator (the cooling coils inside the freezer) have frosted up due to all the moist air which entered the refrig with the door open. This frost has blocked the normal flow of air within the refrigerator/ freezer. Turn unit off, unload freezer, and leave freezer door open for several hours to allow built up frost to melt. Better yet, remove the panel at the back of the freezer and melt the frost off with a hair blower.

My Model ED5HHAXVQO2 REFRIGERATOR IS NOT COOLING. THE FREEZER IS NOT FREEZING BUT IT SEEMS TO BE BUILDING UP FROST.

Sounds like your auto defrost is not running long enough to melt the ice that develops on the coils. You can easily fix this problem by using a hair dryer and removing the back panel in the freezing unit to reveal the coils. Once this panel is out use the hair dryer to melt the ice. Once the ice is cleared this should restore air flow across the coils. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Problems with fridge

Hi: When this happens it means that there is frost built up in the back of the refrigerator. You are having an issue with the defrost heater or the defrost timer. There is an off chance the refrigerator's freezer is over packed with food and there is no circulation. If you're handy empty the fridge and take a hair dryer to the back wall to melt away the frost from behind. Look at the heater; It will be at the bottom of the freezer on the back wall. A glass tube with a wire coil running through it. If the coil is broken, replace it. If not you will be looking at a defrost timer. Usually on a circuit board and expensive. Good Luck, Jeff

Fridge/Freezer not cold

Yes, replace the defrost heater and melt the frost with a hair dryer which is blocking air flow over the evaporator. The frost blocked coils (behind the freezer wall ) results in very poor cooling.
