If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Hello

The problem is with its Heater thermostat going bad as when the temperature increases after a certain limit then it'll cuts off the power to the heater. To fix it you'll have to replace this part, hope you understand...as everything else is working fine so the issue is with this part only. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

AF Code flashes briefly; Clothes don't dry - vent clear

Remove the back of the dryer and chek the lint filter area from the lint catching filter to the exhaust tube. There is a blockage in airflow even though you feel the air at the exhaust there still insn't enough air flow to allow the proper drying of the clothes. This symptom that you gave clothes being hot but not dry the only cause for this is improper air flow

Dryer stopped getting hot and is blowing only cool air, clothes ar not drying

Hi,
The fault can be in two areas for this, so both need checking .
First is the heater element itself, the other is a temperature cut out (there are often two - one for normal working, the other as a safety cut out)
With the power off and unplugged, Undo the lid of the machine and use a meter that will check Ohms, and unplug one lead while you test the heater and temp switches in turn.
Order replacements from online stores - but shop around as prices vary.
Sometimes - it's just the one thermostat switch - costing a few pounds.
If everything is ok - check the fan next, and lastly look at the control board for visible faults.

Dryer turns, heats up but won't dry

check the outside of your house to see how strong the blowing is if it's weak then it's in the vent tube

If you can turn it on and have the door open, hold the door switch in and see if you have a glow from the heating element. If not, your element is broken. That is if it is an electric dryer. If it is a gas dryer you need to check the pilot light or the thermo sensor.

Dryer not drying clothes

I'm guessing it is electric? Do the clothes get very hot? If not, one or both of your elements may be bad. If it does get hot inside after running for 15mins, then perhaps your exhaust piping is clogged up. Can you tell if the output blowing from your dryer is a weak or powerful flow?
Let me know.

Either the heater element is breaking or is loose and getting only 110V instead of 240V.  First I would check the wall outlet with a voltmeter for 240V between Line1 and Line2.  Also check the connections and continuity for the heater element.
