Thank you for pointing this button out. (It certainly doesn't look like a button.) I was unable to press this buttin with my thumb or finger and get the pump to swivel. However, I pressed it down with a large straight-edge screwdriver and was then able to get it to swivel. Thanks again.

The windshield washer spray button wasn't making contact. I replaced the wiper control with a junk yard part. It was likely from a 2001 model. It looks exactly the same as the old one.

First thing to do is to get rid of the part you put in, because obviously it's not right. Replace it with the EXACT SAME part, and you should be OK.

All my electrics failed on my bike after a short ride I turned the bike off went to star it again but completely dead. Any ideas thanks

Hi, Steve and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
5. Security alarm needs a reset.
6. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.
Good luck and have nice a day.

Where is the button located on the pump housing to change the position of the water discharge?

I just checked on mine...actually had the discharge move a bit.
Looking from the motor end, on the right side where the motor meets the plastic pump discharge housing there is a square tab about 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch. Push that tab in using your finger while jiggling the discharge housing. It will click in and the discharge (and inlet) will rotate and click into the next position.

I have the pentair 011523 whisperflo and our spool is going to overflow from all the rain we have been having. I know that there is a way to attach a hose flip a switch and drain some of the water to...

To drain the pool, you have to change the position of your "backwash" valve.
Shut off the pump.
See if there is a DRAIN position on the backwash valve.
You could probably use the BACKWASH position, too, only water will go through the filter and then out the normal backwash pipe.
Turn the pump on briefly to see which pipe water comes out. Shut the pump.
Put discharge hose on that pipe.
Turn pump on until pool is low enough.
Return backwash valve to filter position.

Where is the button to turn the discharge from vertical to horizontal? The manual states to "simply push the positioning button and rotate" - can't seem to locate the button!

Press the positioning button located on pump housing and rotate discharge port to desired position.

Note: the Discharge port will only rotate 1/4 turn.

Ice maker jammed. Ejector fingers in incorrect position.

Is the position off - or the icetray heater failed?
Just before ejection - there is a heater element that warms the ice for easy discharge.

Check that the heater is working.

I am not familiar with that particular meter but.... to measure resistance you will need an ohms scale.
the leads should be plugged in to the + and - holes. Normally the red lead always goes in the + lead.

If there is a switch to change scales, do the following. Touch the ends of the test lead together, (after you have connected the leads to the meter. Rotate the switch thru all of its positions. if you see the
meter swing over towards zero, that is the ohms scale position. There should be a knob to zero the meter when the leads are touching.

Come back with any questions and I'll respond Loringh

Positive or negative

It normally says on the case of the radio where the plug inserts. If not, get a DC Voltmeter and carefully read the voltage and observe the polarity of your test. Most radios have a positive tip polarity. Good Luck
