How to get brother pr600 out of main motor test mode?

Looks like the machine is bound up, or the motor is failing. If the hand wheel is easy to turn then it is probably the motor drawing too much current.
Brother recommends a new motor and belt every 1500 hours of run time.

Singer xl1000 is locking up

Is your material beginning to go under the feed dog? If this appears to be the problem then try placing the needle on the right or left side of the needle plate while you sew. If your material is thin it will especially be a problem and stop the machine from movement. I hope this helps. If not then come back for some more help.

The broken needle may be lodged in the bobbin housing. If you cannot locate, take it in for professional servicing. You may have put the timing out of whack.

Bernina 930 stops with needle down instead of up. How can i fix this?

There is a fairly complex mechanical interlock system on these machines that operate a microswitch on the main power supply board, so that when the needle is at top-dead-centre, the main motor is switched-off and shorted to bring it to a complete halt. Question is, does your 930 always stop with the needle down in exactly the same place or is it just not stopping with the needle up ???

Platinum 950e sewing machine, the needle broke and now won't go up and down at all, and the main spool will not turn. The motor is running when i press the pedal and the bobbin winder spins, but to needle...

More than likely the motor belt jumped off. Remove 2 bottom torx screws from the base of the machine at the back. Then you have about 7 #10 torx screws to remove from the back cover. Then lift up the pressure foot. The trick to getting the back cover off is to get behind the machine, and slap the back cover and pull off at the same time. Sounds rediculous but thats the way it comes off.

Inapproipiate needle stop position THEN Main Motor Lock comes on

The BELT was OFF. I guess it did that during shipment to me. So my husband just put it back on. THAT SIMPLE. It just kept making a motor trying to run sound and my husband took the left top cover off and seen it was only the belt. I was SO excited. It saved me a service call.
