Plug going from machine to power pack is broken. It is an amphenol? plug I believe. The plub came apart and wires inside are broken. I have contacted 2 of the companies on the Maytronics site that say these companies are authorized repair stations but the companies say they are not repair sites. The zip is 08081 (NJ). Help. S. My hotpoint Aquarius wdl540 is dead no lights on or power. Ive have checked the socket the fuse and all the earths everything is fine. Could someone let me know what else it could be. cheers adam

Could be a broken wire. You need to check that power is actually getting to the machine control. I don't know your level of experience, but it means getting inside the electrics which can be dangerous. Safest way is to disconnect from the mains and check the continuity of the 3 plug wires as far along the length as possible. A simple multi-meter is all you need. Follow the cable from the plug to inside the machine, check where the blue wire from the plug is fitted inside the machine and with the meter set on ohms, touch one lead of the meter to that spot and the other lead to the blue wire inside the plug. If you get zero then the wire is not broken. Do the same with both ends of the brown wire and then the earth (green/yellow). Doing it this way isolates you from the live electrics.
If the wires are not broken (i.e. you have continuity) then the problem is with the machine itself and will probably require an engineer. It could be an internal fuse or a complete circuit board failure and anywhere in between.
I hope that is of some help.

Broken spark plug wire eater weedeater

If the wire runs all the way to the inside of the coil pack, then you will have to replace the whole coil unit.

I have a 97 thunderbird V6 3.8L that is misfiring in cylinders 2 and 6. I tested all the plug wires at the plug connection with a calibrated tester, there is no spark at the plug. I have changed the plugs,...

Did you replace the coil pack or just verify 12 volt power to it? if both old and new coil packs have the same issue, (no spark on 2 and 6), then the harness to the coil pack has broken wires or bad connection(in the connector itself), or the computer is faulty. I believe each plug wire tower on the coil pack has it's own signal wire in the harness. Understand that the towers are "paired" together.
For example, cylinder layout.... 1 - 2 - 3
4 - 5 - 6
Depending on the firing order and the actual layout of your cylinder's the above layout would mean
1 and 4 get the signal to spark,(at the same time), even though 1 is on its power stroke, and 4 is on its exhaust stroke. Hope this is clear as mud!

Took my foot pedal apart, now it wont work at all, just makes a clicking sound when trying to put my foot down on it..

Hello

Unplug the machine plug and wall plug on the sewing machine.

Check the power cord for cracks, burns, or faulty contacts as this could be a possible reason for the foot control not working.

Open the foot control by using a knife or flat surface tool, such as a flathead screwdriver, to pry open the corner of the foot control.

Check the wires to see if they are disconnected; this can happen if the foot control drops to the ground. To check wires, remove the circuit board using a flat knife. Inspect the wires inside the foot control. You will see some wires that are soldered together. Check to see if there are any broken wires, as this could be the problem. If the wire is broken, clean the area to remove any debris or dirt. Remove a small amount of the insulation before soldering. Solder wires together.

When you are done, reassemble the foot control and make sure it's working again.

How to troulbe shoot my 300-Watt Power Pack/Timer. it doesnt turn on but it does turn off on time. had this product for 4 years and just now started having problems with the timer.

'Harry' wrote to me yesterday with handy malibu information.
1) Power packs come with 5 year limited warranty.
He is contacting Malibulights.com for a refund of some type.
Hope he writes back and says how that comes out.
2) He was having problem and plugged power pack into wall timer, then set timer.
Heh heh, pretty clever: Malibu transformer works, but timer doesn't, so plug power pack into a wall timer!!

That being said, I had same problem with my power pack.
I used blower to remove dirt and sprayed wd-40 and tried to take it apart.
My power pack was getting electricity.
Connections were good where lights tie into wire.
My lights never turned off.

Power pack doesn't come apart.
I turned it upside down thinking water got into timer.
I took it inside and let it warm up.
It still wouldn't work so bought another one.
Then I searched Intermatic and Malibulights.com for answer, but they have no troubleshooting or repair other than check electricity and check bulbs.
Conclusion: when power pack doesn't work, it is broken.
Unless you buy a separate timer and plug power pack into that timer as Harry suggests.

After researching power packs at Intermatic, Malubulights.com, ebay etc, the best I found were tips for next power pack that might save money:
The reason I add these tips now, before your power pack needs replacement is some fella wrote-in.
He bought 500 Watt power pack to replace 300 Watt > thinking bigger was better.
Power pack burned out. Here's why:
1) Match wattage of bulbs with wattage of power pack
-15 each X 20 watt bulbs = 300 watts, so install 300Watt power pack
2) Installing a 500W power pack on 300W of bulbs will burn out bulbs and power pack.
3) Replace bulbs as soon as they burn out or other bulbs will burn out and power pack will burn out.
4) When working on bulbs, unplug power pack or it may burn out.

Had to replace a fixture today. when I replugged the lights the lights turn on manually but the clock on the timer does not advance I have 56 watts of light Is the timer broken?

If clock motor does not rotate, then some people report taking it apart and cleaning gears.
The PB912M10 timer clock motor is not sold separately. Aug 2010.
If power pack transformer still works: buy cheap plug-in timer, set power pack to override, and plug power pack into cheap timer.
With receipt, power pack might still be under warranty.

Carrier gas pack inducer motor

Sounds like you may have a bad connecton at the end, which end? if you follow the wires out of the motor they sometimes go to a MOLEX whitish plug. The wires treminate in this plug with PINS sometimes these PINS dont seat or come loose in the plug. Pull the plug apart and check the wires comming in from both directions. If they wont push or pull out of the plug either way they are seated ok. Check for a bent PIN while have it apart. If its worse and this dosnt fix it or its the end going to the motor consult www.carrier.com for a dealer near you. DO NOT USE A GENERIC MOTOR on your furncae as I believe it is a 2 speed and most generic motors ar only 1 speed. SOme of these gaspack motors have a centrifical switch and if this is your problem again consult with a carrier dealer. The price of the motor is secondary to safety and longvity of your comfort investment. If I knew where you lived I could make a better recomendation.
A viberation could mean a HORNET nest (using mud for their nest) could have been in place and reciently came loose and fell into the fan on the motor. carefully remove the assembly and inspect it for bent fan or shaft or maybe plastic and broken or metal rusted out parts.
If you need more information I need to know a few more things. If this helps you r not please grade accordingly and help me improve. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK.

Brushes don't go around

The power wire may have slipped off inside.

take apart the unit at the top (Behind the cleaning fluid container) Inside there is a wire coming up from the motor at the bottom of the unit. This can come unlpugged no longer powering the scrub brushes. Simply slip the wire back on the plug.

To open: remove all visible screws from top half of machine. Remove the rubber mode dial by pulling off, and remove screw behind that. Pull the front off, and the power plugs are located right on the inside of the machine by the mode dial
