The unit keeps blowing the 3 amp fuse. I've checked and cleaned the back of the pc board. No debris and no sign of corrosion, broken board, cold solder joints or loose components. It doesn't matter whether the inside on/off selector for the fridge is on or off. I can't find any frayed/broken or faulty wire or plugs. Thanks Bob

SOURCE: Faulty DC power connector

First pulling a machine apart takes time and careful disassembly - it is easy to snap off fragile plastic panels or rip cables and replacement parts can easily cost as much as paying someone to disassemble it for you. Usually a jack repair is $100-$150 depending on the shop.

Toshiba's are a multilayered setup - You have to remove all the screws from the bottom (note that they are labeled by screw length next to each hole - do NOT put the wrong length in when reassembling!!) Make sure to remove the hard drive and ram cover and check for screws there are well.

After all the screws are out of the bottom, remove the panel above the keyboard. Remove the keyboard and all the screws under the keyboard. Then you can get at the motherboard and power jack.

You will probably have to remove the motherboard to replace the jack - Usually the mounting screws for the motherboard are not so clearly labeled - i mark the holes with a sharpie when pulling a mainboard.

Good luck!

SOURCE: After having defrosted our fridge and started it

Hello,

You need to check the temperature settings and see if there is enough air flow in the refrigerator and freezer. You need to check for air flow restrictions in the vents and clean the compressor coils. The door seals, door switch, defrost heater and timer has to be checked. Also clean the clogged drain tube and refrigerant leak.
Good luck in solving the problem.....

SOURCE: We have an Surveyor house

Since your unit is an AC and Gas unit, you need to find out if it works on gas in order to make a good diagnosis.

But from your description, it sounds like your DC power is not at the unit.

D COPIA 2500 ERROR C0630?

The C0630 error code on a Olivetti D-Copia 2500 indicates a problem with the thermistor sensor in the fusing unit. The thermistor sensor is responsible for monitoring the temperature inside the fusing unit and ensuring that it stays within a safe range. If the sensor detects a problem with the temperature, it will send an error code to the printer's control board and shut down the fusing unit to prevent damage.
The following steps can be taken to resolve the error:
  1. Check the fusing unit: Make sure the fusing unit is properly installed and that there are no visible signs of damage or wear.
  2. Check the thermistor sensor: Make sure the thermistor sensor is properly connected to the fusing unit and that there are no visible signs of damage or wear.
  3. Check the fusing unit temperature: Make sure the fusing unit temperature is within the specified range.
  4. Check for any debris or paper jam: Check for debris or paper jam in the fusing unit and clean it if necessary.
  5. Check the fuser lamp: Make sure the fuser lamp is working properly and that the lamp is not broken
If the problem persists after trying these steps, it may be necessary to have a professional technician to check and repair the printer.
It's important to address the issue as soon as possible to prevent further damage or failure of the printer.

My freelander 1 2005 keeps blowing the 80amp fuse and stops everything in the car working and it won't start can anybody tell me what is the fuse for ?

this is the main fuse from the battery that feeds the fuse box etc , take out the fuse and holder and check for signs of corrosion on the terminals , any worn wires etc as to blow this size fuse must be shorting to earth , when does the fuse blow ? if it is on start up then the starter could be pulling to many amps so would need replacing , if it's when driving i'd have the alternator charge rate checked as well . that gives you a few things to get on with , keep me posted if you wish

5 amp fuse keeps blowing

Hi Jeff,
The fuse is to protect the blower, you and other equipment. It is a warning that something is not working correctly.
If you have a multimeter, use it to see if you have a short circuit or a partial short circuit by using the ohm measurement.
Physically check the wires and and wire connections in the unit to see if there is any sign of shorting out - usually looks like a black smudge.
Do not replace the fuse with a higher rating fuse.
If you can find some short circuit, thoroughly clean the area, or replace the faulty wire, or both.
If you cannot find a fault easily, you may have to get the unit seviced.

Keeps blowing 3 amp fuses when i turn the air conditioning on.

Ok, If 3 amp fuse is blowing in the air handler unit when switch is turned to cool check to see if outside unit jump starts and stops when this happens. If this is the case wiring is fine check main relay in outdoor unit. There will be a spring contact on main relay (Black relay close to where wires come into unit), check for corrosion or carbon build-up on little round contacts. If you can clean contacts with a small piece of sand paper. Make sure all breakers are off before removing cover! You might have to remove relay in order to clean it. Make sure you write down exact locations of any wires you remove. This should fix the problem.

One unit runs a while, powers down, other unit blows transformer

you say it keeps blowing the transformer? you mean circuit breaker? if it is the circuit breaker, have the wiring checked for a short, if no short do a ohm test on the compressor. it may have shorted out internaly.

3amp fuse keeps burning out

Hi,

when a fuse blows, its telling you that theres a fault. this could be a loose or broken wire.
or alternatively, the fuse rating is too low. you could check the wires are tight. and also possibly try fitting a 5 amp fuse. check first that the fuse is rated correctly for the appliance. usually 3-5 or 13 Amps.
