Somewhere very close to where the paper feeds into the machine, you should be able to find a little piece of rubber. This is the separation pad (sometimes it's made of cork). Clean that, and you should start working again. If it works, then you'll eventually need to replace the sep pad, as cleaning is a temporary fix. You can buy that and the feed roller (they should be replaced together) here:

Testimonial: "Thank you for the feedback. We have cleaned the seperation pad as well as the pick up rollers. Lot of dust particles were found on the pickup pad."

My fax machine brother 2820 shows document jam. How can i solve it. it shows - clear the scanner jam, then press stop. How can i get tht

for this one you need to make sure there's no paper that was cut while you are removing the paper that was jam, try to clean the rollers with a clean paper the one that feeds the paper . when your done .Lift the printer upside down and remove the cartridges try to shake it for 5x .. I believe the upper portion portion of the printer is removable make sure there are no foreign objects such as ballpens , sharpeners etc...
Hope it help

Everytime we are receiving a fax the fax machine jams, and i have changed the drum and toner cartiridge to see if that was the problem but it still jams, what could be the problem?

Check paper tray make sure your stops are set at 8.5 setting for short paper. Paper to loose will cause same problem. You wont no play from front to back. Also check side play. Hope this helps.

Paper jams continue to occur on brother fax 2820

Depends on the location of the jam is. Feed wheels need cleaning, clean with windex. or and most likely you have a bad drum unit,

Brother fax machine Fax-2820 MFC-7225N

Hi. Open the document control panel and look in with a flashlight and see if the jam switch is stuck. also look for a small piece of paper that might be stuck in there. The jam is in where you put documents in to fax out. Lawrence

Brother fax 2820

Out of the lower paper tray when you go to print? Try this, remove the cassette tray and use a water dampened cloth and clean the gray paper pickup roller off. A lot of times this has paper fiber build up that causes the paper not to feed. The printer has a certain timing pattern for when paper should reach a certain sensor, and if it doesn't, then a jam error will occur.
