Can I install this thermostat to a Geo Thermo Premier 2 Water Furnace with the following wires connected as follows from old Honeywell thermostat TA511M1010? Old connection; R, C, Y1, W, Y2, L, O, G

Yep, you should be able to run your water furnace with the thermostat. Just wire it up same letter to same letter on both devices. If your thermostat worked before, it should work again. I couldn't find the honeywell part you listed, but the terminal designations tell enough on their own. Don't forget to shut off all power sources before doing any wiring, and to configure the control board on the water furnace before switching the thermostat to any active mode.

In case you don't have it, here's the install guide3 for the water furnace.

My gas pack won't light

First, the thermostat white wire is the wire that initiates the furnace to start. When you select heat on your thermostat the tech should get a 24-28 volts between the white wire and common on the thermostat wire in the furnace. If you do not get the required voltage, there is a break in the wire from the furnace to the thermostat that needs to be tracked down and eliminated.

Call 1-800-468-1502 for wiring assistance.
You probably have the wrong wire on the R terminal. Make sure that the wire on the thermostat R is the same wire that is on the furnace R terminal.

Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assit you. If you did not turn the power off to the furnace before rerplacing the thermostat then you may have burned out the board in the furnace. But first if there is a RH/Rc terminal in the new thermostat then try removing the jumper between the two and see if the thermostat will operate properly.

Your thermostat Function 0170 must be set to "1" for Single Stage Heat/Cool. Function 0180 must be set for "0" for Heating Fan Control. Function 0240 must be set for "5" for the Heating Cycle Rate for your <90% Gas Furnace. If you have already done these steps or if, after doing these steps, you continue to experience a problem, you problem could be with your Gas Furnace. I'm including some links for information on your system and thermostat that include wiring diagrams.

I have amanual honey well and I want to change it to a programable honeywell but the two wires on the manual thermostat are not labeled, so I don't know where to connect the wires to in the new thermostat

Wires for thermostat control circuits are normally color coded. Check for proper connections at the furnace and connect the same colored wires that you find at the furnace to the like lettered terminals on the new thermostat. R to R, W to W , Y to Y , ans G to G. R is for power to the thermostat, W is for heating, Y is for cooling and G is for furnace fan operation.

Manual Thermostat replcaement with Programmable Digital unit.

Hopefully there are markings on the old t-stat as to what terminal is what.
on the honeywell 8000 use the heat pump labeling and then the standard wiring would be
R- red
AUX-white
Y- yellow
B- O/B
C- black
G- green
There should not be a bare wire, it probably just has the insulation stripped back way too far.
You should probably open the furnace and compare the terminal label in the furnace to the wire color. normally yellow and blue pass through the furnace and are wire nutted to wires going to the outdoor unit. In the furnace the white wire will connect to the w or w1 terminal. also, you will need to set the Honeywell stat to have the following parameters.
170-7
190-1
200-0
other parameters that I did not specify, you may read the manual and make your own decision but I recommend factory settings for the other parameters
