Greetings 4webbs,

You can do either of the following:;

1) Ask at your local store, then can sometimes look up your previous histories to see if you did indeed purchase a protection plan.

2) Call 1888BestBuy and ask for Consumer Relations. They should be able to check your purchase history also to see if you have a protection plan.

I hope this helps.

Thank you,

Dorothy

Power button does not work

This company can repair this problem and will also do a cleaning as part of it. A lot of time all the dirt that the camera picks up works its way into the crevices of the camera and starts showing these problems.

they also do a full cleaning which should prevent any additional problems. once it is repaired, if you plan to have it in a pocket or purse it is always good to have it inside a protection, while these still have dust, it is far less than rolling around in a back pack or purse.

The lens it well not go out

Send to manufacturer for repairs or see if you purchased a Service plan from your retailer.

The most common reason for this happening is:
  1. Sticky substance (Cola/Fruit Drink/Coffee) leaked inside the camera.
  2. Camera was dropped damaging the delicate internal motors.
  3. Normal wear-and-tear.
Repairs on cameras cause by accidents (#'s 1 and 2) can be costly if you do not have a service plan, and the camera is older than 6-9 months.

BROKEN SCREEN. I HAVE INSURANCE FOR A YEAR

Hey MALENATATI,
If the insurance you are talking about is a service plan from a Best Buy™ store and the service plan is an ADH plan it should cover the repair of the LCD screen. If this is the case you need to take the camera to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they can send it out to be repaired. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

I have a canon power shot A310 that is 3.2 mega pixels and by mistake it well in the water when i was in the canoe . i retrived it , it was only in the water for sometime.

Hi,
Sorry to say the camera is ruined. Unless you bought a special protection plan you need to just purchase a new camera.
Thanks,
Lee

Kodak Easy Share Camera My baby accidentally dropped it on the floor.Zoom won't

Hey pooda2,
It does sound like there is damage to your lens. Manufacturers’ warranty does not cover damage but a Best Buy™ performance service plan with accidental damage and handling would cover the repair. To find out if you have a performance service plan with adh on the camera you should call 1-888bestbuy. If you do have the plan you could bring your camera to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store and they can send it out for service. If you don't have a performance service plan with adh on it you could still have it sent out to get an estimate on how much it would cost to repair it, but often with digital cameras the cost of the repair exceeds the value of the camera.

Sincerely,
Allan
