Question about HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Do you have another black cartridge? If so please install it and try again. Clean the cartridge's print head and contact points. Also clean the contact points on the printer, leave to dry. I would also suggest you to use a new cartridge to make sure if the problem is related to Cartridge. If the problem still persist, reset the printer. Follow this steps to reset your printer,
. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold “# and 6′ keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions.
You can also power off the printer and power on back, while the printer is warming up/loading, pull out the plug from AC wall, this can also help to rest your printer.
If after resetting the problem persist, it means the cartridge you inserted into the printer is not genuine. You will need to get a genuine cartridge.
