Try to isolate the memory and video card
Memory -turn of the power -take out the memory -reinsert the memory -turn on note: if you have 2 memories you can try one at a time and then test
Video card: if you have video card, take it out and let it boot on the built-in video card and then test

No beeps Short, no power, bad CPU or motherboard, or the CPU is not installed properly. One long beep, then two short beeps Video problem Continuous hi-lo beeps CPU overheating Repeated long beeps Memory error All other beeps Memory related error
If you are getting hi lo beeps, refit CPU and heatsink
If continuous long beeps, check memory is seated correctly, if more than 1 stick, try each one on its own, 1 may be faulty, or incompatable

Long beep continuous

Hello,
here is a list of beep code for Award bios chip, which is the one present on you memory card:

repeated beeps - DRAM error
repeated short beeps - Power error
Repeated high & low beeps - Processor is damaged/Overheated

1 short - System boot successfull
2 short - CMOS setting error
1 long 1 short - DRAM or M/B error
1 long 2 short - Monitor or display card error
1 long 3 short - Keyboard error
1 long 9 short - BIOS ROM error

I don't remember the speed of the repeted beeps for the award bios.
But in your case if this is not a DRAM issue, you might try to check if the beeping remain the same once the cmos battery removed (the flat batterie that looks taken out of a watch).
If so this means that it needs to be replaced.

I have dell vastro 1510 laptop & my problem is when i power on laptop there are continious beep sound & there is no display its blank.beep sound stops when i press any key on key pad but there is...

Two long beeps is the universal code for memory issue. I would contact Dell and have them tell me what the number of beeps signifies (after you count them) and then you can attack the area. At least the bios is working when you get those codes - a relief because if you lose the cmos you are in deep doo doo. Could be a bad peripheral, connection, etc.

Push power button on inspiron 530s and just keeps beeping will not allow acess to pc

Do you get any display on the screen? If not and all you get is beep, then it is likely to be a issue with your RAM, either it's not seated properly or damaged. Usually the first thing when you fire up your computer, the bios is looking for a min set of memory from your ram and if this cannot be located then it's going to give you some beep. If you know your Bios maker, then you can listen to the amount of beep and look it up on the internet for that bios maker to determine the actually cost. Now if you can get something onto displayed on the screen, could be a keyboard error issue, usually a key being press down. I believe it to be a memory issue, and to diagnose this, take all your ram out from the bank, and try to boot it without the memory if the beep is beeped differently. If it does, then that mean your have a bad memory, so try swapping the other sticks of ram if you have any to on the first bank of memory slot, and leave the rest empty, and see if this works, and if not and you still get the continious beeps, then your bios is corrupted, or your motherboard if i would say. In that case, it's best to get a new computer, it is cheaper to get a computer then to repair and pay for parts and labor cost.

My motherboard gives 8 beeps and shows no video, I tested with several video cards and gives the same result. when the computer beeps (normal as it recognizes that although the bios), then emits...

Continious beep codes are caused by the memory (RAM). Try reseating your RAM just plug it out clean it then put it back in. Or try the other memory slots. Just transfer your memory to the other slot if you have an available slot on your motherboard. Or simply buy a new memory (RAM). Just make sure it is compatible to your motherboard. Beep codes means the computer is not reading the memory (RAM) properly. There is no post and no video in your computer because the RAM is not working properly.

HP Compaq ProLiant ML150 G3... Problem:

Hi ,
1) This server is a G3 , latest is G5 . It is outdated unsupported equipment.
2) Your continuous beeps on boot up with no video seems to indicate VGA card problem . Just put in another cheap VGA card and retest.
Good luck on solving your problems , hope I have helped you.

Kitchenaid microwave oven KBMC140HSO

I started having the same problem with my KBMC140HSSO. You cannot see the error codes without disassembling the control panel (the codes are on another display that covered by the front panel). After doing so I found the error code to be F2, E3 which is "Key held down too long, or key shorted". I am ordering a replacement keypad and will report back if this fixes the problem.
