If my assumption is correct, the print queues still available on the print status even if the printing process is finished.
First try this, Turn off the printer, disconnect the printer from the computer, (remove all the cartridges before you Turn it Off), and leave it off for few minutes while you follow these steps, uninstall the drivers and software of the printer. Restart your computer, again reinstall them and connect the printer only when you are asked to do so. Reconnect and reinstall everything. Try with the printing and let me know if the problem persists.

Good luck.

Printer prints the snow pink

The Canon Pixma 5000 is an excellent photo printer!
Check that ALL your ink cartridges have ink and also run a cleaning cycle as your heads may be dirty and also do an alignment run: check your manual for instructions.

Then you close the tray so that it will continue printing. That is a warning that you should close the tray so that the printer will work properly.

Canon IP4600 won't feed from rear tray.

It turns out that if you read the documentation VERY carefully it says that "if the application program specifies 8.5x11 plain paper and that is what is loaded in the front cassette you cannot print from the rear tray". It turns out that this is true even if you go to the printer driver and specify "rear tray" manually. The driver disregards the setting. You can force printing plain paper from the rear tray by going to the Canon "My Printer" icon and forcing ALL printing from the rear tray. If you do this, remember to change it back. You can also print plain paper from the rear tray if you specify the "allocation" option and the paper from the front cassette runs out. You can always print from the rear tray if the application that created the print job specifies something other than 8.5x11 without resorting to the forced override, e.g. printing a .jpg or .gif or something from an application like Paintshop or Printshop, etc.

Hi it's Gill again. I've been looking around more on the net and I think the problem is our printers need new printheads which I'm told are spare parts easy to change. Hope this helps. Gill

Canon MF6550

Try to press te System Monitor Button and scroll using the > to Print Status. If there is a print job in there press ok the < to cancel the print job. You may want to check the other status windows in case it is a Fax or Copy job instead of a print job.
