Want to install HP 4300 all in one printer but during installation asking for 'PDL_COMMON' cd-rom, which I do not have. so I would like to download software by internet.

Then choose the operating system & version - windows/mac version you have that will take you direct to all the drivers and software for the printer
DONT connect the printer to the PC _ download the drivers and then double click on the file and follow instructions, you will be asked to connect the printer up to PC during the installation

1. Remove your previous installation of that printer. Delete the printer icon in the Printer's folder if there exists.
2. Reinstall the printer. During installation, choose Custom Install if there is an option like that.
3. Then choose to install ONLY the printer DRIVERS and do not install the HP Software bundled with the printer. The HP Imaging software conflicts with screen resolution of some devices. Give it a try and see if you can use your printer installed that way.

of your printer, and if your printer is only a couple of years old or newer the website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.

The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.

Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.

You can download the installer/driver from the HP website. Click on the support link, lookup your model $ & select the operating system you are running. A list will then appear. Download and install those you need and reboot. You should be all set. Hope this helps.

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

First do not plug the Printer USB cable

Start Installation and then when Setup asks to connect the USB cable Plugin to your system.
Make sure the Printer is connected and Powered ON during the initial setup.

In case you have McAfee anti Virus software install please make sure that it is not blocking the HP setup EXE files.

Try updating your printer drivers: - Don't Use Manufacturers Install Cd -

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop. Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done

download the driver from www.brother.com (choose your country and your dcp). Disconnect dcp from pc usb then install drivers. during installation you are asked to connect to pc.
