The SD card has a "lock" lever on it...make SURE it is in the "unlock" position.

You might also try using an SD card reader. These are VERY inexpensive on Ebay- but your computer has to have Windows 2000 installed for these readers to work.

Many cameras were sold with a cable just for the purpose of transferring photos to a computer .other than that you have to put the pictures on an SD card and move them that way .

Lost the disc for i533 polaroid camera

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Is there or was there ever a Firmware update for the i533 DIgital Camera to be able to use a SD card bigger than 2 GB and /or a SDHD Card larger than 2 GB. Thank you.

No, and there never will be. SDHC cards are electronically different from SD cards. While an SDHC device can use an SD card, the reverse does not hold. It's a hardware difference, and no amount of firmware tweaking can make an SD device use SDHC cards.

I533 polaroid camera beeps and turns off

There are a couple of possibilities here:

i'm assuming that this camera uses a SD memory card. You have most likely bought yourself an SDHC card. The cards will look exactly the same, except for their name. SD cards only go up to 2GB, while SDHC's go much higher....sometimes the SDHC card will cause camera's to do this because it is not supported.

the other possibility is that you have a defective battery and it doesn't hold a charge. You could test this with a digital multi meter.

the last possibility is that there in internal damage/falty wiring

hope this helps,
Thomas

How do I download my pictures without the cd

Usually you don't need any special software to download photos from most digital cameras. Try connecting your camera to the computer with the USB cable and then going to My Computer and seeing if the camera shows up as an additional device or hard drive on your system. If so, you can just manually copy or move the photos from the camera to the computer. You can also use free software such as Irfanview. to copy or move the photo files from your camera to your computer, and to view and edit your photos on the computer.

You can also remove the SD memory card from the camera and then put it in a memory card reader on your computer, and copy the files that way. If your computer doesn't have a built-in SD memory card reader you can buy one - they are very inexpensive, under $20 and available at most computer and camera stores. Just make sure you get one for "SD Memory Cards".
