Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Hi, I have an HP Officejet 7310 All-in-One but also have 1 computer and 1 laptop on different floors, both of which I need to print from! How can I connect 2 computers to this same printer please? I've looked up on internet as I can't find the cable so was going to just order another cable but for connecting more than one computer it mentions an Ethernet[?] connection. It sounds technical but just tells me to refer to the Setup & Network Guide which I no longer have! This printer isn't wireless (my computer and laptop can be though), but there was mention of something you can put into one of the front slots to make it Bluetooth for printing photos. I don't know how old the posting was, but does it now work with documents too please so I could wire the computer but have the laptop wireless downstairs? Need to sort this ASAP, any assistance gratefully received. (If it is possible to connect 2 computers to this printer, fingers crossed, can you tell me where I can get the bits to make it happen.) Thanks.

The machine has built-in 10/100 Ethernet port connect it to a wireless router and you can set it to share with anything connected up to you intranet. Of course add the drivers is a must to yor PCs.

Printing problems with HP officejet 7310

You actually have to get the HP drivers uninstalled and then go through the registry to delete all instances of HP and then reinstall drivers ,making sure you have the drivers for Vista and not XP. For going through the registry you must know what you are doing. I can assist.

Problems connecting to printer

The Officejet 7310 does not have wireless capability, this was a feature for the Officejet 7410. If your 7310 is connected via wired LAN to a wireless router but the computer does not find it try assigning an IP address manually. Make sure the IP address for the printer is on the same subnet as your laptop or other wireless devices.

Also, if you are using Vista the original drivers will not work, you will need to download updated drivers from HP's website here.
