44-pin hard-drive ok for an Acer Aspire 51003583 Notebook PC

Yes, this is for a notebook PC.
I don't have immediate access to it and I'm concerned if the
internal connector will be ok for a 44-pin hard-drive replacement.

Most likely it will be ok, unless the laptop uses SATA as the connector.

Don't know how much hard drive acer 5050-3371 has

I have an ACER ASPIRE ONE. Try the following; 1- click start. 2. click computer. If it doesn't display how many GB you have left on your hard drive, click computer . I'm just a rookie, so good luck.

I have an Acer Aspire 6530 when it's turned on the screen stays white and blank. There is a burning plastic smell.

I would say a loose connection to the display I would immediately turn it off. A "burning plastic" smell could be caused by a wire grounding out somewhere.

Aspire Notebook 5735-4774 won't display on external CRT monitor

If the video chip on the Aspire motherboard is OK then the image on the external monitor would be OK. If not then the video/motherboard is faulty.
To gain access to data on the hard disk, remove the hard disk and connect it to an USB hard drive adapter and plug it into a working computer's USB port. The computer will see this as an external hard drive.
Alternately -
You can put the hard drive in an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive.

Acer harddrive working also in other Acer notebooks?

You can physically install the drive in any laptop with the same type. They will either be SATA or IDE. However unless you have a nearly identical system which is unlikely after a few months of buying it the windows installation is not likely to work.

The better solution would be to stop in at your local computer store and purchase a 2.5" drive caddy and install the HDD into the caddy. That caddy will then work as an external HDD on any computer you purchase allowing you not only to access the files on it but also to backup any new data.
