Question about Gaggia Titanium Espresso Machine

1 Answer

We have a five year old Gaggia Titanium regularly descaled. In recent weeks the flow of coffee has considerably slowed to a drip and we now get a message saying 'Brew Unit Missing'. The machine also now does not 'Rinse' and sometimes does not dispense coffee at all. What repair is required as we have done nothing at present.

Remove the brew unit, find the 2 screws above the top shower the connects the discharge tube to spout. Remove screws and carefully remove spring and ball some have a plastic seat at end of spring. Clean tube make sure there is no coffee grounds blocking tube, reassemble and test.

Gaggia titanium coffee slow coming out of machine

Not sure it will work for you but Our Bunn has a flex wire to run thru the tube weekly , and if we do not clean that tube it might take 20 minutes to make a pot where when cleaned it does 12 cups in 3 minute

Why wont it switch on?

Check the 2-pole circuit breaker on the left side. You have to remove the back by removing 2 screws. Use a multimeter, test for continuity over both poles.

My ~8 year old Gaggia Titanium Plus was dead one morning.
I checked the circuit breaker and one of the two poles were bad.
I replaced the C.B. and all was fine :-)

Gaggia Titanium - can't get it to move beyond 'Ventilate.' This started as a problem with extremely slow coffee output. We've been good about de-scaling but brought it into a repair place who cleaned it...

Select "Hot Water" and open the steam valve. Let it pump water out the steamer for awhile. It usually clears right away but may need to pump a lot of water to clear the error.

If you aren't able to get any water coming out the steam nozzle, you may need to prime the pump with the little squeezy tool they gave you with the machine - or you can use a turkey baster. Mainly you are trying to get water up into the pump to prime it (get the air out of the pump) so it can pump water instead air.

We have inherited a gaggia titanium which has done about 2500 coffees. Although the coffee runs through ok, the steam and hot water pipe does not run at all and the machine says "ventilate" regularly. I...

You might have to replace the steam valve assembly, try to get the stainless steel valve instead of the plastic one if your machine does not have it already. You can get the parts from your nearest gaggia dealer or from servicesunlimited, if yo check the importika.com web site you will find a list of all services agents and dealers.

Descaling cycle will not run

You need to push the hot water button on the machine panel to allow water to run out of the steam wand. After a few seconds the machines ventilate message should clear.

Ventilate message

Press the hot water button and allow water to flow from the steam arm until ventilate disappears and warming up appears on the display.
Ventilate after descale is normal.

I have a Gaggia Titanium that is six years old. I descaled for the first time and went through the entire process.. After it rinsed I put it all back together. When I flushed the steam wand, some nasty...

HI Sorry, but you have 6 years of scale that has been broke loose and is now plugging your lines. You are going to have to take you machine apart and blow out all your lines and also the boilers with air pressure to clear the lines. Descaling is one of the most important things you can do for your machine. Your lucky that your machine went 6 years. Most don't.

Machine doesnt produce coffee

Try this, your machine has a manual/coffee grounds input, press the button for that option and see if water flows from the coffee spouts, if yes then adjust the grind on the grinder to coarser, if it gives you a ventilate error, then one of the lines to the brew unit is blocked, nd you will have to run the descale again or open machine and find blocked line and clear.
