My dell 5210 is showing a 920.16 Service Fuser Error. How I fix this/trouble shoot?

920 Fuser Error indicates the Fuser is below temperature while printing. The fuser, melts or fuses the toner to the media and has a heat roller and a pressure roller. The heated roller is heated by a halogen lamp or in some cases a solid state ceramic heating element and is subject to failure.

If this is the first time you have seen the error

    1. Power the printer off.
    2. Leave the printer powered off for 20 to 30 seconds.
    3. Power the printer back on. If it comes up to the Ready state, try printing again.
      • If the fuser error does not return, continue using the printer as normal but observe it closely over the next few days to see if the error returns.
      • If the fuser error returns on power-up or if the error returns as soon as you try to print or at a later date, the printer will probably require service to correct the issue.
  1. One thing that you can check as well (since it is a "under temperature" error), is to make sure the printer is not plugged in to a UPS/surge protector. The printer may not be getting enough electricity to heat up the fuser. Try plugin it in to directly to the wall/different outlet and see if the error persists.

If this does not correct it, you need to replace the fuser.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response
Thanks, Joe

What does 50.2 fuser error mean

Hello,
The 50.2 error means your fuser is not heating up. You will need to order either just the fuser HP Part # RG5-7060 or the maintenance kit HP part # Q1860-69002. Check your local computer store or we can ship the parts to you. If you need additional information contact me at our web site below.
