Possible that the main board or the power board has a soldering joint problem.
So remove panel and check to find any dry solderring weak points specially in the areas around power components that heat up. Use a good solderringg iron to do a touch up job with care not to short or bridge connections.
hope this helps.

TV will not turn on

Hi, It could well be the power supply that is in the back of your set. Have a repairman check it out. It's not a do it yourself thing. Good luck.

Hi my son got a 19inch emerson tv for his 2nd birthday and now anytime it gets plugged in it flashes different colors and the buttons does't work and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it!! can this...

Press the the cursor key up followed by down and power the TV off with the remote or the TV itself. Please use the original remote for this. Unplug the TV for a few seconds...replug and power the TV on. The second thing to try...press the cursor key left followed by the right key. Power the the TV off with the remote or the TV itself. Unplug for a few seconds...replug and power up the TV. Some of these TVs left the factory in the service mode. The fix is pretty simple. Thanks asking and show a few hands of support!
