Question about HP Pavilion a620n (PC028A) PC Desktop

The power button was pushed too far in by my grandson and now it does not come out all the way. I've tried to remove the front cover, but I can't seem to get it loose on the bottom. Can you help me with this?

Inside the cabinet near front there is a green plastic thing (Marked Step 1) you must pull towards you to get the front off.

Lost power button got turn off

try this; carefully detach (pull off) the front panel of the base tower unit.. and behind the plastic front that you just took off there's a little button that you can push to power off and on. The power button just goes through the plastic cover and pushes the button.

Hey...if your system is less than a year old it may be covered by the warranty, if not remove the cover to access the inside of unit. Near the power supply inside there is a fuse, it may be blown. Can be found at local electronics supply. Good luck.

I have precor 9.31 treadmill it is stuck saying "stop key" and will not do anything else. The stop key magnet is a bit eroded but engages fine. What could make this happen perhaps a stuck stop...

I had that problem and solved it by removing the red "STOP" cover. The cover pushes against a switch. If the switch moves too far down and rests against the cover, it will be stuck in a lock position causing the error message. To remove the red STOP cover, remove the few screws behind the console. When the front cover is off, turn it over and unscrew the two screws that hold the red stop cover. Then push the cover out through the FRONT. Do not attempt to lift it out by the end with the screw holes. It iwll not pull out that way. Test the machine before screwing the panels back agian. The message should no longer show STOP KEY. Test the visible white small switch that you uncovered by removing the red flap. The message should stop when you press the switch.

I kept the red STOP cover off of the switch and screwed the panels back into place. The machine now works fine!

Hello, my dryer just click when i try to start a cycle, i have unplugged it and check the fuse box. all the light come on so there is power but it will not start.

more then likely it is the belt switch to reset the switch unplug the dryer, remove the power cable and back cover completely. Note last two screws holding back cover are under the top cover which is held on with two screws at the rear. Remove the screws then pull top cover back and then lift it off. Remove last two screws and take off the full back cover . On the front of the motor you should see two white wires going into the safety switch for the belt breaking. Push the button on the left to reset the switch (you probably will hear a click) Do not push the right button as that is the trip button. Hope this helped Tim

Doesn't power on

Button integrated in cover was slightly bended, for that reason the outside button was not able to push the inside button.

I removed the cover by putting my nails in between the body and the front cover and pull.

Inside the phone I was able to push the very small black button with my nail.

Good luck!

My hotpoint washer drier power on/off button has broken.pls help

Smithbrother is on to it I think. Those push on push off buttons fail after awhile. You can get a replacement, put it on, or have it replaced. The appliance covers must be removed to detach wires, remove button, put new one in, and reattach wires to the replacement.

Toshiba 1115 S103 Power button problem

there possibly is a spring between mainboard and the button, you may have to check if the button cover is simply held by the cover itself, remove the loose 'lid' of power button (if you still have it:same colour as laptop), attach it to the faceplate, and reassemble carefully the notebook.
good luck

Power button doesn't work...

Your problem is not the switch. Probably you have faulty capacitors, deteriorated solder joints or worn out bulbs.
To open the case, remove the base (push button and lift off).
remove any screws under the base plate.
Pry the front and back cover apart, they snap together.
Good luck,
Monitor Mike
