Ok, here is what you need to do :-
1. Remove any disc that might be in the machine
2. Unplug the power lead from the player
3. after 30 seconds reconnect the power lead
4. Turn on the dvd player with the remote and wait for "No Disc" to be displayed.
5. Press enter on the remote then press 8,4,2,6,9 then press enter. The dvd player should switch off
6. Turn the dvd player back on, then off again. Do this once more and it should now be region free

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

HT-Z320 displays PROT code and then shuts down

i had the same problem a prot display then it would shut down. turns out i had the sub disconnected(noise complaint from the shaking at my apartment complex) but the speaker wires for the sub connected to the amp or central unit. when i disconnected the sub i left the wires on the floor behind the sub separating the pos. and neg. somehow the wires got moved around and the pos was touching the neg. as soon as i noticed and fixed this problem the system was working fine. my samsung hometheater model is HT-BD1250

I cant play any discs on my samsung ht x200 due to a disc region error

Go through the set up menu on the Ht DVD player (if it's all in one) and change your settings for the region code. Obviously it is not the one that you have already set it to (probably set by manufacturer). NTSC, PAL, etc. I hope this helps.

2. Close tray.
3. Switch Off Player and Unplug from mains wait 30 seconds (this clears RAM)
4. Reconnect to mains
5. Turn on player with remote.

Code to make my dvd player multi-region

@totallytad,

Try:

Known region free hacks for a Panasonic SC-HT75 are described here or here.
You can also try:
Try this It is for a SC-HT75 but seemed to work on my machine.
Start with an empty tray
USING THE REMOTE press "SETUP"
Go to "DISPLAY" menu
Select "ON SCREEN MESSAGES" then press "ENTER" button
Press ">10" found on the bottom right coner
Press "6" button
Press "4" button
Press "3" button
Press "8" button
A PASSWORD WINDOW SHOULD APPEAR
TYPE IN "3192"
PRESS THE "ENTER" BUTTON TWICE
You will see RESET-DVD in the display and after this the disk will be read and the HT-SC75 is Region Free.
When replacing "3192" by "3193" The HT-SC75 is also Macrovision Free!!! This was originally posted here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
