To fix all these issues and also to fix the common PC errors you need to adjust important registry settings in your Windows. Most of the problems in the computer are caused by the file association errors and the massive registry corruption.
The registry in Windows is the key to run programs normally and is accessed every time some action is performed on the system. Whenever there will be massive accumulation of corrupted registry entries there will be a lot of program crashes in the PC. As we use the programs more and more the size of the Windows registry for these pertaining programs start to increase and unfortunately many registry keys become corrupt. These corrupted registry entries can cause a conflict situation by interacting with the valid keys. Not only the system does not run properly but it also gets very slower which makes it difficult to compute.
It is highly likely that the registry scan will help you fix the registry and especially the file association errors which will make things right for you. You should also try changing your flash player version.
If you are not satisfied with your browser's performance consider using this valuable software to fix Google Chrome Error.Reginout is recomended software

Doesn't just play game comes up with a box to run java

Many games require Java to run. Java is not a part of the Operating System. It must be downloaded and installed from the Oracle Java Download Site. Here is a link to the site. After you have downloaded and installed Java, restart the computer if necessary and restart the browser so it can find Java. After that, things should go smoothly. Some antivirus programs may want to restrict Java as it has been known to be vulnerable at times. You may have to override the AV software to get it to run in Pogo.

The first thing you should try, is to update both JAVA and Flash. If it uses those, that is likely the issue.

Here are the links:
http://www.java.com/en/download/inc/windows_upgrade_xpi.jsp

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Be sure to uncheck the boxes that install toolbars. Also, it wouldn't hurt to make sure that Windows is up to date. Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update.

JavaScript are fully enabled in your browser. Follow the steps below for your browser:

Netscape 4.XX or newer for Windows, Mac, or Linux

Click "Edit" in the menu bar, and then select "Preferences."
Click the word "Advanced" and put checks in the boxes next to "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript."
Internet Explorer 4.XX for Windows

Click "View" in the menu bar, and then select "Internet Options."
Click the "Security" tab.
For the Internet Zone, be sure that the Security level is set to "Medium" or below. (If you 've chosen to customize your Security settings for the Internet zone, be sure that under the Java heading, "Java permissions" is not set to "Disable Java." You'll want to select one of the three safety levels instead. Also be sure that under the Scripting heading, "Scripting of Java Applets" is set to "Enable" or "Prompt.")
Next, click the "Advanced" tab.
Scroll down until you see the subheading "Java VM."
Check the boxes next to "Java logging enabled" and "Java console enabled." (Note: If you've checked the box next to "Java JIT compiler enabled" and are experiencing freezing problems, uncheck that box.)
Internet Explorer 5.XX or 6.XX for Windows

Click the "Security" tab. For the Internet zone, be sure that the Security level is set to "Medium" or below. (If you've chosen to customize your security settings for the Internet zone, be sure that under the Java heading, "Java permissions" is not set to "Disable Java." Note to Windows XP users

By default, the Windows XP operating system comes with the Internet Explorer 6 browser without the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) installed, which is required to run Java programs such as Yahoo! Games.

If you install Windows XP over an existing installation of Windows that already has Internet Explorer with a JVM installed, then you should be able to play just fine.

At this time, Microsoft no longer provides a download of the JVM if you do not already have it installed. You're welcome to contact them for information on where to find and download this program.

However, you have the option to download Sun's Java plug-in by visiting

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/aut…

Sun is the creator of Java, and their plug-in will allow you to play Yahoo! Games.

Internet Explorer 4.5 or 5 for Macintosh OS 8-9

Select "Edit" from your menu bar and choose "Preferences..."
Then, click the "Java" bullet within the Web Browser section.
Make sure that the "Enable Java" box is checked.
Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh OS X

Select "Preferences" from the "Explorer" menu.
Select "Java" from the left navigation bar.
Place a check-mark next to "Enable Java."
You may also want to clear your cache and restart your browser.

If you continue to have problems, double-check your computer's compatibility with Yahoo! Games. Source(s): Yahoo games help page

Try to play pogo games

Please follow these instrucions to clean up your Java installation.
There is a program called JavaRa that will remove all the old Java versions from your computer. Go here to read about it, then it is a free download from here.
Extract the .zip file to your desktop or create a My Programs\JavaRa folder and send it there. Close your browser and run the JavaRa.exe file and choose 'remove older versions.' When done, it will show you a log file of the Java versions found on your computer and removed. Close that.
Now open JavaRa again if it is not still there behind the log file. Choose "Search for updates" and then "Update using SunJava's website" A browser window should open at the Java home page. (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp)
Scroll down to the Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) and choose download. Choose windows from the options, check the license, then choose offline or online installation and click the orange download bar.
Save the file to your desktop or folder, then close your browsers, and click on the file to install Java.
This will give you the most recent version of Java available, which should work seamlessly with Pogo applications.
To check, go to this page and reactivate your Pogo account. Then try to play games.
If your account is properly activated, and you're still having problems, please see this page.
If you want help with these last settings, write back and let us know the exact error message you get from Pogo, and we'll help you to adjust your browser settings to get you in.
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to play with Windows xp. I'm sure you can get it sorted out...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
