There are quite a lot of reasons that may cause a Mac Mini computer running slow, but generally two factors: hardware part & system part. For hardware part: I guess it's OK if your Mac Mini is not that old. For system part: there might be a lot of junk files, caches, registry errors... out there which largely slow down any Mac machines. about 80% slow Mac caused by this reason, if so, try cleaning the system. Hope this helps, regards!

There are less memory space in your Mac drive. I would like to suggest you to use any Mac cleaner to free up drive space consumed by unnecessary stuffs. A famous tool - Stellar speedup Mac helps you to get rid of slow Mac performance by removing all system junks, caches, universal binaries etc..

Could be a lot of things. Try running Disk Utility from your install DVD:<br /><br />http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1417<br /><br />After that, if issues persist, try booting in Safe Boot Mode: <br /><br />http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455<br />If the issue is resolved in Safe Boot, try removing third party startup items:<br />http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/startupitems.html<br /><br /><br />If the issue persists in Safe Boot mode, try a new user. <br />http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html<br />If issue is resolved in a new user, then you know it's something just in your user. <br />Delete the contents of the following, where ~ represents your user's home folder: <br />~/Library/Launch Agents<br />~/Library/Launch Daemons<br />~/Library/Startup Items<br />~/Library/Caches<br /><br />This will usually resolve the issue. <br /><br />If it persists in the new user, then the issue is likely with the operating system itself. At this point you should Archive and Install: <br /><br />http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1710<br /><br /><br />

I have a 1 TB SimpleDrive external USB drive. The drive is now making a repeating, beeping noise, slow and methodical, and it is not recognized by either my MAC or my pc. WHat does the beep-beep-beep mean...

The hard disk inside it doesn't responds to the controller - hardware failure, the disk has failed.
Nothing can fix that, your unit is truly dead and you need a new one.

Fuji Finepix F10 won't mount onto Mac mini OS X

Best use Memory Card Readers, F10 is USB 1.1 so moving data is quite slow specially if you take 6MP photos. Just get a XD card reader whihc is USB 2.0
