Hello,

check the front of the player. If you don't find any Aux input then it means your player does not have Aux input.

Take care.

My Sony CDX-MP70 unit plays CDs and works on aux off my iPod but when I try to listen to am or fm it's nothing but static if I scan for a station it will just search forever, I took it apart but it all...

Check for a loose antenna connection, at the unit and where your antenna is attached to your car. Also, check fuses, some cars have 'powered amplified' antennas.
If those dont work, try resetting the unit. On most units there is a small pinhole behind the faceplate(not on the faceplate). Could also be the internal tuner has gone out...

Hope this helps

All I need to know is how to change a CDX_CA700 CD player to AUX

On the Sony unit (CDX-M100TF) you need to activate the AUX input from the stanby screen. It may work with yours as well...its worth a try!

Turn stereo "off". Press menu and there's an option for the AUX input.

Note: This may not be accesible when the stereo is 'on'.

Installation

It depends which vehicle it has been installed, some radios have to be screwed behind the dash but most you will just need sony removal keys, remove the trim and slide the keys (one each side) down the radio and then slide it forward if you're lucky it will come out without much force. Have fun!

Sony cdx mp70

It may be that the remote lead on the amp has been connected to the auto antenna lead on the radio instead of the amp remote lead and because the auto antenna goes down when the cd is inserted it is turning off you amplifier, check the connections behind the radio or if there is a light on the amp check if the light goes out when you insert a cd
