Hello

The problem you have is that the memory card can be compatible with the camera but is not compatible with the phone.

Try out your microSD, then connect to a computer with a card reader. If the computer can not detect, it is possible microSD damaged, but if the computer can detect but error, microSD can still be repaired.

My LG Neon is not recognizing the microSD? card. it says "not supported". the memory card itself is microSD HC 8GB. it currently has music on it. not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Hi,the music on the memory card has nothing to do with it,the problem is that the memory card is not supported by the phone, the phone uses a microSD card quite alright but the maximum SD card it supports is 4gb microSD card that is why the 8gb microSD card is not supported by the phone.
so i'll suggest you get a 4gb microSD card.

Take care

My LG Neon GT365 is not recognized by my xp computer. When I connect the usb cable the phone beeps and beeps.

You have the wrong usb cord. You MUST have a regular microSD card in the phone for it to be recognized as an external device. So go buy a micro SD card and make sure you have the right data cable ( check http://www.bargaincell.com for an LG NEON DATA CORD)
Also do not buy a high capacity microsd card. They sometimes will not be read buy the neon. microSDHC usually won't work. Use a regular "microSD" card. That should help you out.

First of all, please make sure your memory card is microSD card, then open the microSD slot access panel located on bottom right side as u mention. Position the microSD card perpendicular to the opening and gently slide it into place until it is fully inserted and locked. I bought a 2GB microSD memory card and adaptor (wake up your phone) im trying to put music onto it from my computer downloads but it just keeps saying, This Disk Is Write-Protected

There is usually a 'lock' on those adapter cards that might be enabled. However, if you haven't formatted the card to your phone you may wish to do so, otherwise it may not work in your phone. Put the MicroSD card into your phone, go to Menu > Settings > Memory > Options to format your card.
Then put in the adapter, check the lock setting, and reinsert.

Name Card Not Supported - LG 8700

Have you tried using a microsd card to transfer your pictures? Try putting in a microsd card and then you need to use one of the sd cards that reads microsd cards with your pc. Then it should allow the transfer fine. Let me know how this works if you do it. At leats that is the way I do it.

How do I transfer information from my lg vantage (ie: pictures) via USB connection to my home desktop pc?

By default, all of the pictures you take with the camera on the phone get saved to the microSD card inserted in the slot. There are two ways you can get the photos (and other data) off the card.

1. Using the USB cable that came with the phone, plug it in your computer. Then, tap the main menu, go to settings (the last tab) and then click 'USB Mode'. There, click USB Mass Storage, and your microSD card will be read by your computer.

2. Remove the microSD card (taking off the back panel and pushing down on the microSD card gently; the card will spring out). Insert the card in a card reader and voila. :)

You can then transfer photos to and from your phone (well... actually memory card :P)

Why doesn't my USB adapter read my 4GB MicroSD

You may need to upgrade to a MicroSDHC card reader for your computer. My computer couldn't read the MicroSD cards I was using in my Rumour phone either, but this solved the problem. You can purchase these upgraded card readers that plug into the USB port on your computer for around $30.

This is from Duracell Support

Unfortunately, we have found an incompatibility with a new revision of our microSD and the USB adapter that accompanied the card you purchased. We are in the process of solving the compatibility issue. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and would like to send a new card that is compatible with your USB adapter. Your original card should be functional in other adapters, phones, and cameras. The microSD card's compatibility problem should only exist with that USB Adapter. For your inconvenience, there will be no need to ship the original microSD card back to us so feel free to keep and use them both. We would also like to send you two free music downloads from Duracell Flash Memory.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please let us know your full name, address, the size of the microSD, and the name and location of the store from which you purchased your microSD.
