Question about Sanyo DWM395 DVD Player
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

For the DVM-390 model, I believe this solution should work on the DVM-395 model - Push and hold down the Open/Close button until "UN-LOC" appears on the FL display (or "Disc Tray Unlocked" appears on the TV screen).

Have you tried changing the leads your using?
What eve lead your using like Scart or Phono , then get them changed.
Make sure you have the right setting on the DVD Combi making sure you have enabled SCART or RGB out.

For that you need to do a google for "mymodel region free" or "region free hack"
Not all dvd players are capable of this often very simple modification (usually just involves the remote control and a combination of keys)
Your search will turn up a lot of sharks that want money for the hack
There are a lot of sites where the information is free.
I am unsure of FIXYA's policy on this topic so would prefer not to get my @ss kicked. That is why I gave you the search terms rather than site links

Testimonial: "thank you very much for the quick response! didn't get the answer i was hoping for but you made my night alot easier thanks!!! "
SOURCE: Hi,my sanyo dvd player model
Your problem may be due to unsupported media - such as using Dual Layer disks, or a data type that is not recognized - such as Divx.
Videohelp.com maintains a database of DVD players and their limitations. Limitations are in the form of acceptable media, data format saved to the media, etc. Additionally, there are some 40 individual comments on this player, too. There's far too much info to paraphrase here, so I'll direct you to your player via this link.
I think that once you know what types of media and format of the data your player can read, you'll be in good shape. Please rate my reply - thanks!
