Question about Olympus FE-280 Digital Camera

1 Answer

When I tried to upload photos my computer didn't detect the device and said to be careful removing the camera or the photos could be deleted. When I removed the USB chord and tried to reconnect it to my computer a message came up that says "clean the terminal of the xD card with the dry cloth" I did that and the message keeps popping up. There is another options called FORMAT but when I click yes on format all of my pictures will be deleted...is the only way to fix this to delete my pictures on my camera?

1. Stop trying to connect your camera to the computer. Obviously, this is only giving you problems. 2. Get a card reader. Use it to download your pictures from now on. 3. When removing anything (camera, card reader, etc.) from a USB port on your computer, always use the "safely remove hardware" function.

How do i upload video from my nikon d7000 to my computer. Will upload photos but the video didn't

You neglected to specify how you're trying to upload your videos so I can only give general hints.
First, make sure you're using a program that recognizes videos. If you're using a program designed to copy photos, that's exactly what it will do -- copy photos. Videos aren't photos, and such a program will ignore them.

The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, as I suggested earlier, use a program that recognizes both photos and videos, such as Nikon Transfer.

I can't figure out how to upload my pitures and videos.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

I have a Samsung Digital PL201 camera and I am unable to delete multiple pictures which means I have to go theough 500 photos and delete them individually... there must be a way of deleting the whole lot? ...

Hello,
To delete all the contents off the camera / media card you will need to navigate to the format option in the camera menu. Press menu then settings then format. NOTE this will delete EVERYTHING off the card.
To upload video files to your computer try taking the card out of the camera and connect it to your computers card reader (or buy one if you need) and open up the removable drive in my computer, copy the files you need onto the PC hard drive from the removable drive. You could also use the Intelli-studio software that came with the camera to transfer video files.

My computer doesn't detect my finepix s602zoom

I have not had this problem, but I always use a card reader to upload my photos.
It saves on wear and tear on the small usb socket on the side of the camera. I can't see any reason to use a cable if all I need is to upload photos.
