Double check that all connections are secure, especially the console cable. Unplug and reconnect the console cable to verify.
Unplug treadmill from wall outlet. Wait 60 seconds, allowing lower board to discharge built-up energy.
Remove motor cover.
Verify that there are no lights lit on the lower circuit board.
Verify that all wires are securely and correctly placed on the lower circuit board, especially the large wire harness on the top of the circuit board with 12 different colored wires coming out of it.
Some consoles require batteries. Check to see if this is the problem. If the console does not use batteries, move on to Step 2.
Remove the key from the console.
Unplug the power cord.
Remove the screws from the console hood and remove the hood.
Turn the pulley until the reed switch and magnet are aligned with a 1/8-inch gap between reed switch and pulley.
Replace the hood.
Plug in the power cord.
Reinsert the key into the console.
Run the treadmill to check for a correct speed reading. This may take a few minutes.
