Question about Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

I have a slab granite countertop and stainless steel, undermount sink. For some reason, there were no clips installed holding the sink in place, so the sink has now separated from the counter and there's a half inch gap at the front, allowing water to leak into the cabinet below. How can I reseal the sink to the underside of the grantie counter?

To repair that I would get some of this....

Clean both surfaces as much as possible, then apply the Lexel to the gap and prop it up tightly with something and allow it to cure overnight....
This will then hold that sink indefinetly...

I buy it at my local hardware that is very similar to a Lowe's only smaller....

I would think that if you called around you could find it...

Never thought to check for it when I've been in a Lowe's or HD...

Hope you can get it... it has saved my **** a few times...:-)

My microwave works well, but the big problem is that I have to slam the door very strongly too many times for it can be started.

Sounds like that you have some internal problems with the electronics circuits. Please take to someone qualified to work on it, for there are very high voltages inside if you go to the wrong place inside even if your microwave is unplugged it stores voltages.

If for some reason you don't still have the installation instructions, their support site should allow you to either download or order a set.
If you can't find their site, try the dealer from whom you purchased the oven.

Microwave wont heat

We would need to know the full model number from the tag in the cooking cavity or elsewhere on the microwave, such as the door frame, controller frame, etc.

Please post a new help request with that and more detailed symptoms, such as when it occurs.

When you hit "Start" to microwave, do the inside light, cooling fan, and turntable all come on?

Any unusual noises? Is it louder or quieter than usual?

We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are operating here.

I have a stainless steel sink in my RV. When it was stored for the winter, I used FRI-Z-AIR containers to absorb moisture. Some of the crystals spilled into the sink and actually etched spots into the sink...

I would try SOS pads or even fine sandpaper if necessary. Make sure you go with the "grain" so it isn't obvious afterward. It is possible to blend with those grain lines in stainless steel, we used to do it in a factory.
