Washer does not progress through cycle

it might be the pressure switch which in part controls the cycles eg when water enters drum air pressure builds up through a tube connected to pressure switch which has electrical contacts.it is round in shape and if is the fault, it has to be replaced. regards

Control knob will not turn to desired setting

the timer knob has a clip that will allow you to remove the knob from the timer. it is between the knob and the dial. what happens is the knob has gear like teeth that will become stripped out.it is easy to replace but alittle hard to remove. you need to get a small screwdriver and go behind the knob, pull on it alittle and you will see the clip, then use the screwdriver to push the clip out of the knob, then the knob will pull of and you can replace it.

How does the top come off ge washer model wjxr2080t6ww

Use a putty knife to push the spring clips in where the top of the front panel meets the washer top, about 2 or 3 inches in from each side. Front panel pulls forward and lifts off pegs, revealing two 1/4 inch drive hex screws holding top to side panels. If your washer has the lid switch near the front, push the tab on the back side toward the center of the switch and push switch up, then twist 90 degrees and pass switch back through the opening. Now lift washer top at the front side. Most washer tops will unhook from the back side now, but some need to be slid an inch to the side yet to remove once the top is lifted a few inches. If you model still has the lid switch near the back of the washer opening, lift the top at the front and unhook the back of the washer top, pull the top forward a few inches and unplug the lid switch disconnect block. (two wires)

yes facing the washer locates the two screws. They will either be in the front or rear of the control panel or back them out far as you can. Once you have done that pull the control panel slightly forward, and tilt it back on the hinges. Now unplug the lid switch wire but don't forget to plug it back when you’re done. Next locate at the rear of the washer body the two gold clips then push forward, and take careful note of how they fit. Then pop them out with a screw driver tilt the washer body forward at 45 degree angel and walk forward with the body, and set it down. then you can acess the lid switch

I had the same problem with my vacuum. I called in for technical service and was told to push the "reset button". It turns out that there is a small red button right next to the dirt indicator light. I pushed the button, plugged the vacuum back in and started it up and it worked like a charm! :) Hope this helps!

Agitator stops when sweeper is pulled backward

If you have made no changes to the vacuum's setup and are using it on same carpet you have previously used it on with no problem, then the most likely cause is the agitator/beater bar's drive belt is worn or on some models may have a tension adjustment which is set too loosely. This can also be caused by having the vacuums height adjustment set to low for the carpet or flooring you are using it on, causing to much drag when the vacuum is pulled backwards for the agitator to overcome.

The vast majority of agitators turn in a forward direction, as if it would pull the vacuum forward, when you pull the vacuum backwards the drag is increased.

So...First check height adjustment (a no cost fix), then check out the tension adjustment (if present on you model, some engage when top of vacuum is tilted back after stepping on the release pedal) Lastly, consider changing belt especially if you have had the vacuum awhile or if it gets a fair amount of use or it you seem to need to use it on a low height setting all the time to vacuum up debris.

Hope this helps!
