Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Hi I need a list of error codes for an Angelo Po Combi oven. Model number is FCV101EDS

F0 - No Alarm Signal

The main control board in your oven has failed to communicate with the alarm. This is most likely a fault with the control board itself, which may need replacing.

F1 - Door Not Locking

If there is an issue with the door lock in your appliance you may see this error code. Check the door lock and the wiring and connections to it to get to the cause of the fault

F2 - Door Not Unlocking

The opposite fault to the above, this fault indicates your oven door won't unlock. Once again you'll need to check the door lock mechanism and its wiring and connections. This fault could also be down to the oven thermostat as this could be giving an incorrect temperature reading, preventing the door lock from being released.

F3 - Self Test Error

Turn off your appliance, unplug it for five minutes or so and plug it back in again. Doing so should clear the F3 error code. Easy as that!. If it does not clear the problem you are likely to have a fault so see the links to our diagnosis videos below.

F4 - Temperature Sensor Fault

If you see this error code you'll need to check your temperature sensor and the wiring and connections between the sensor and the main control board. You may need to replace the sensor.

F5 - Control Board Error

This fault suggests a problem has developed with the main electronic control board in your AEG oven. It may need replacing to bring your machine back to full working order again.

F7 - Mains Supply Issue

You'll see this fault if your oven has detected a problem with the power coming into it. This could mean your appliance has been wired in incorrectly. You'll need to check the mains supply connection to your oven to get to the bottom of this error code.

F8 - Power Supply Issue to Control Board

The main control board is not receiving power as it should. Check the wiring and connections to it. If all the connections are fine, you'll possibly need to replace the control board.

F9 - Processor Auto Resetting

As with error F3, turning off and unplugging your appliance for five minutes before plugging it back should reset and fix this fault code.

Kenmore Electric Double Oven Mod 9114832592992 got F2 code in middle of selfclean what do I need to fix?

Hi, i found three all same series... If it's occasional I'd leave it 'till was always on? Anyway .....
F2 - E0 Shorted keypad Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)

OR....
F2 Oven temperature sensor shorted Replace oven temperature sensor
OR

F2 Temperature runaway detected (Bake/Broil: 600 - 700 F; Clean: 930 - 1000 degrees F). Sounds alarm and resets to non-cook mode. Check relay board for stuck contacts. Check oven temperature sensor for normal room temperature resistance (1085-1097 ohms at 75 degrees F). Check sensor wiring connectors for a loose or high resistance connection. Check electronic range control (also called clock or ERC) functions Replace relay board if necessary. Replace oven temperature sensor if other components check normal. If failure repeats, replace electronic range control (also called clock or ERC)

The read on display is f2 and beeping

HI. This error code will occur when the control board senses an oven temperature above 915F-935F

Once this type of temperatures occur, this will generally weld the relay contacts on the main board. This will damage the board, and it will require you to have it replaced, asap. If these temperatures never reached the sated thresholds, i would advise to Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace the sensor if found to be defective. Check door lock switches for damage, as well.

In most cases, this will be a failed control board. To confirm, simply preform a resistance test on the sensor. The normal ohm readings should be 1100 ohms at room temperature..

GE Range / Stove / Oven Fault Codes Failure Code Fault Code Description Solution F0 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both. BAKE Control senses oven temperature above 615F-630F If actual over temperature condition occurred: Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).

If no over temperature condition occurred: Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

F5 Loss of relay drive circuit If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC). F8 Shorted meat probe Problem could be with the probe, the receptacle, or probe circuit. Check probe. Look for pinched wire. Look for condensation or contamination on probe receptacle. F9 Lock switch Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch. FC Problem with door lock circuit such as pinched wires between control and door lock switches on motorized lock circuits Check wiring and test operation of switches. FD Shorted meat probe Problem could be with the probe, the receptacle, or probe circuit. Check probe. Look for pinched wire. Look for condensation or contamination on probe receptacle. Replace probe if all else checks out ok. FF Loss of door motor safety switch Replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC). FFF Control error, failed EEPROM Replace the oven control board (also called clock or ERC).

The main control operates a series of software commands, which control the various features and functions of the oven. Each function or operation has a numerical value assigned to it. The numerical values can be added up - this is called the check sum operation. Every time the system is powered up and after each clean cycle the system performs a check sum and compares the value to the value programmed into the software (stored in memory).

An EEPROM check sum error or FFF code occurs when the values differ. If this happens, replace the oven control board (also called clock or ERC).Here is a list of error codes and corrective action that should be taken. Mike

What does error code F2 mean and how do you solve the problem?

HI, this code represents an issue that concerns the controls ability to read true oven temperature correctly. This will require you to Ohm test the oven temperature sensor, if OK, replace the power relay board.

F2 code on GE selfcleaning oven

The F2 fault code generally means the Oven temp exceeds 590 w/ unlocked door High resistance or interference in oven temperature sensor Might want to check the oven sensor for high resistance. Get a ohm reading of the oven sensor at room temperature and tell me what this reading is.

Waiting to hear from you,

F2 fault, continuous fan after clean cycle for Jenn-Air electric convection wall oven. I haved turned off power at breaker and restarted. Fault reoccurs. Oven is definitely cool. It has been 36 hrs...

The "F2" means the oven control senses runaway temperature. The cause of the problem could be the oven sensor, the oven sensor wire harness or the power relay board.
PS:please disconnect your oven from power supply completely before continuing.

Open the control panel and measure the oven sensor resistance at the control board. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature.

If the reading is wrong do the same test at the oven sensor connection (where the sensor wires goes through the back panel).

If the reading is still wrong - replace the oven sensor.

If the reading is correct, check the wire harness and the connector itself (it's better to eliminate the plastic plug and hardwire the oven sensor).

If there is nothing wrong then the power relay board has to be replaced.
