The inner compartment lights are triggered by the door switc and most off the time these limit switches fail because of poor contacts after moisture condensation within the switch. If so use a good switch cleaner to spray ( WD40) can be used.
Now if as you had mentioned that the indicator lamp is also off, then do you mean that the fridge is working otherwise except for the lamp.
If Yes, then it is only to trace it to the switch of the door or to the main relay power / control board that is not giving out the voltage.
So first of all start from the Door switch, remove, clean or replace.
Good day

The Canbus system is looking for current drawn from two 21 Watt bulbs and will stop when LED is used because it thinks the bulbs have blown. Fit the original bulbs and all will be well.

JVM1340 lights not working

Hi,

Behind the top grill above the door is an access panel to change the light bulb. If the bulb is good but light still don't work, its possible the door switch is bad, but normally if the switch is bad the turn table won't work either. Most likely just a bad bulb part number you would seek is WB36X10003 this is not cheap for a bulb, you maybe able to get a replacement from a local lighting center near you. its a 40 watt, 130V bulb

Good Luck

All indicators have stopped working

You have the wrong bulb in!

The bulb with the offset pins is a stop / tail bulb, it has two elements and two contacts on the bottom. Typically they are 5 watts element for the taillight and 18 or 21 watts for the stoplight. The offset pins make it so it will only go in one way so the contacts line up to the correct function of Stop light or Tail light. Some cars have combination stop tail bulbs, some have a single 18 watt bulb at the back. The FRONT light indicators are always a single element.

You can see the two elements, the two contacts and the two offset pins in this image.

I just replaced my bulbs on my ceiling fan light fixture with the compact flourescent bulbs 13 watt to replace the regular 60 watt bulbs but they are flickering now. Could there be a problem with wiring...

Your remote control I would assume includes a dimmer for the light. CFL bulbs are not compatible with dimmers. If it has a dimmer, you must use incandescent bulbs.

How to change the light in the refrig. compartment?

Some models are different...I hope this helps.

Replacing Light Bulbs
To avoid electrical shock which can cause severe personal injury or death, disconnect power to refrigerator before replacing light bulb. After replacing light bulb, reconnect power.
To avoid personal injury or property damage, observe the following:
• Allow light bulb to cool.
• Wear gloves when replacing light bulb.
Fresh Food Section
(style of light shield varies)
1. Slide clear light shield toward back of compartment to release from light assembly.
2. Remove light bulbs.
3. Replace with appliance bulbs no greater than 40 watts.
4. Replace light bulb cover by inserting tabs on light shield into liner holes on each side of light assembly. Slide shield toward front of refrigerator until it locks into place. Do not force shield beyond locking point. Doing so may damage light shield.
Freezer (style of light shield varies)
1. Reach behind the light cover.
2. With firm pressure, press forward on the notches at the back of the cover and pull down the cover will open from the back.
3. Remove the cover.
4. Remove light bulb
5. Replace bulb with appliance bulb no greater than 40 watts.
6. Insert front tabs of light cover into slots in freezer liner and snap rear portion over light assembly until rear tab engages.

Replacement bulbs for under the microwave don't work; circuit tester indicates the light sockets have current' already cleaned and adjusted metal contacts in sockets; still "no go"

You were sold defective bulbs? Check the continuity on them. If they are good, compare bases, you may have bulbs with a base that is preventing it making contact.

Ge oven model xl44. my oven will not lite, the broiler works fine.

Hi..

You need to do this

  • Replace the bulb
  • Test the switch
The interior oven light in most ovens is a standard 40 watt appliance bulb. Often, to change the bulb, you first need to remove a shield or glass dome. If the bulb isn't burned out, the problem may be with the switch on the oven door frame. If the switch works poorly, intermittently, or not at all, you need to replace it.

When an indicator light has stopped working, you may be able to replace just the bulb--but you usually have to replace the entire light assembly. Alternatively, there could be a problem with your burner sensor (stuck open or closed) or your indicator light circuit.

Good luck !!
