You may please need to provide a bit more information about the Carrier model and what you are intending to achieve.

The 38GCKL06 outdoor unit is a 3 phase power unit and compatible with High wall type indoor units 42xx. Is your 40ATS indoor unit a cassette type ceiling unit?

Might be helpful to know how old the 40ATS model is and where was it built. I am not able to find any data on that specific model.

    As mentioned before it would help if you can provide the source of the supply - ie, which country are the units made in. The 38GCL0609 is an outdoor unit whilst the 40ATS075H9 appears to be an indoor unit but not compatible with each other.

    If you can provide the country from which you got the container shipment then I can check further.

A/C Unit SAMSUNG -Outdoor unit model= MH080FXCA 4A was connected to 3 indoor units:

It's possible you have a bad data wire on one of the systems. Swap the data wire or both if two with a different wire. (1&4--2&3) whatever. Whatever you do inside obviously do outside. Might have extra resistamce that is throwing the error but will be fine for a ground wire.Or do one system at a time, being sure to change your dip switch settings until you figure out the problem unit. Good Luck!!

We have a Misubishi mini split ducted heat pump. The thermostat is saying no signal What to do?

Try cycling the power supply to the outdoor unit. The indoor unit is powered off of the outdoor unit and the wireless signal to the room sensor originates in the indoor unit. Something may have disrupted the output signal to the room sensor and a quick reset MAY do the trick.

Carrier Comfort Zone II Thermostat is blank and the 3 companion thermostats are all showing Error Code C1. What does that mean?

Hi Anonymous,
For all wall mounted and Artcool split system codes

Error code = C1 or CH1
Flashing Light = 1
Fault = Indoor temperature sensor open or closedcircuit.
Display = Indoor.
Indoor Operation = ON

Error code = C2 or CH2
Flashing Light = 2
Fault = Outdoor temperature sensor open orclosed circuit.
Display = Indoor Outdoor.
Indoor Operation = ON

I want to install a multi split air conditioner system. Must the total of the individual capacities of the indoor units be smaller or bigger that the capacity of the outdoot unit?

Ideally, the indoor total would be matched to the outdoor unit, but ideals are only ideals. The indoor total may be either greater or less than the outdoor unit - try for the closest match either way.

Error message U4

Signal transmission error. Indoor and outdoor PCB's cannot communicate. Usually a faulty controller board in the outdoor unit. If the indoor unit otherwise functions normally (can control fan speed, louvres, beeps in replay to all remote buttons) then it is probably OK so check outdoor controller PCB.

Carrier split 42G250HF-1(indoor unit

I'm not sure exactly what unit you have and what controls you have installed on the unit. But....there usually is a flash code schematic on the unit. Usually on the inside of the blower compartment cover. This should tell you what is wrong with the unit. It could have a low voltage short somewhere and is loosing the call for cool. So the answer can be a possible yes to your question but without knowing the flash code, it's hard to tell from my point of view. You might end up calling a service professional out to check it.

Carrier hi wall split unit on light flashes 4 times ???

as i am a mechanic in sydney australia, i can honestly say that the chance of you getting help via carrier is very very slim... the reason it is doing that is that it has a legitimate problem unfortunately i have a carrier 42g250h which is flashing 4 times aswell... i have been waiting now 10 working days for carrier to call me to tell me what the problem is... if you can afford to do it, throw the damn thing out and buy a new one, i hate to say it but even an LG will work better than these heaps of ****
