Question about Toshiba Satellite A60 Notebook
I had Best Buy upgrading the RAM in my Toshiba A135-S2386. They removed the 512MB card and replaced it with 2 x 1GB cards. When I came home and wanted to connect to my home wireless there was no way for me to do so. When I try create a wireless connection it only gives me three dial-up options.
It is possible that the WiFi card was dislodged or inadvertently snap out of position. Should you venture on a DIY, pls remove the bottom panel covering the memory and/or add-on cards. The WiFi card would be the one with one or two black or gray small cable/wire with connectors at the end. Unsnap the said WiFi card, partially remove/pull from the slot, re-insert and snap back. It may be necessary to wiggle a little bit to ensure that the pins are in contact with the corresponding slot pins. Thereafter, close the lid/panel cover and reboot the laptop.
Should problem persist, you may need to return the unit to whoever replaced the memory and present your concern.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
