The magnavox ZV427MG9 vhs to disc dub recording can not
be paused. you can not pause and start dub recording in this
mode. you must let it run start to finish . It also states this
in the manual which disspointing....
For this type of recorder it should be able
to do just that, pause while dub recording whs to disc, but it
doesn't.....

You start dubbing with the dubbing button and stop to stop the dubing. You need to use the remote.

You can probably download the pdf of the manual for this model from the following site:

http://tv.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/magnavox/zv427mg9.html

The document should feature a picture of the unit. This is for the ZV427MG9 model ONLY.

I hope this helps somewhat.

I have a Magnavox ZV427MG9. I follow all directions in manual for dubbing VHS home movies to DVD but when I try to play the DVD back there's nothing on them. What am I doing wrong?

Depending on the procedure you may be pressing the record button instead of the D.Dubbing or Dubbing button. When recording from VHS to DVD you must first, load the blank DVD and VHS home movies, then play the VHS movies, then PAUSE the VHS movie when you want to START recording... then the only the you have to do is pressing the D.Dubbing button or the Dubbing button. If your VHS tapes starts to play after the Dubbing button is pressed you have been successful in Dubbing.
